What a final race of the season. I felt bad for Martin but I think he'll have his time as champion too.

What bothered me about this crash is from the NBC footage Martin never even turned his head to see if MM was ok, just walked thru the opening in the catch faces. The split second before he crashed I said to beautiful that he was being too aggressive and was going to take somebody out then by the end of my sentence he had. Pecco lost a spot because he turned to look apparently at the crash for a split second. You can say what you want about MM but when he took Olivera out he was the first on to him.

Lol what? It's not a ....... Sex in the City, it's racing.

The red mist got Jorge. He was too aggressive and got what he deserved IMHO. Personally if I had whacked into the back of somebody at speed I'd have at least a moment of concern for his life racing or not.

luckily you're nowhere near the racing speeds with your stupid gearing

Only stupid for you. Suits my needs perfectly. 6250 at 100 mph. The motor has broad power. My gearing is 21% higher than a stock pani. 2nd gear is 28% higher than 1st. So my 1st is lower than your second. All the ETV mapping has been changed, full power in every gear. So where you're using second i'm using first. And I have full power in first the stock mapped pani's don't have full power in 2nd. So we're coming off your 2nd gear corner i'm in 1st lower geared with full power. I'll send you a picture of the front of my bike cause that's the only way you'd ever see it.

Do you use 6th?

So you optimize for power only and think you're going to be fast?

Throttle turns both ways. I agree for people with poor throttle control maybe not the best. I've removed all the slop from the throttle too. Relative to my life TC is a new fangled invention as is DWC, ABS, slide control etc. You be wanting to race why don't we turn off the electronics? No DTC, no DSC, no DWC. I'll send you a picture of the front of my bike...

Mate you do understand that gearing affects engine braking and ability to control wheelies? Maybe not on a straight runs to Starbucks, but gearing you use at Mugello is quite orthogonal to what you use at Jerez.

Of course. Since I went up 2 in the front but down 6 in the rear I lowered the anti-squat a bit (would need to draw it to see magnitude). But I've added anti-squat by raising the rear. With respect to the engine braking you can manipulate it by altering the drop throttle in the EVT maps. So you can add engine braking if required. I tripped over this when I was working on something else. I wouldn't run this gearing on a track bike anyway. Nor my set-up. And I'd have to take the bags off. For traveling in the west though it is the perfect gearing. Pulls really hard from 45, and when are you really going less than 45 (marked 15 mph corner?). Eventually everyone will stop giving me grief about my gearing.
