"I've always said if Marc goes on a Ducati, the rest may as well not turn up,"
-Cal Crutchlow

^ this did not age well LOL

He set the fastest lap, new bike that he is clearly not 100% confident in yet on the high speed turns hence the podium losing mistake. A championship is a marathon not a sprint, you need a lot of moving parts to come together and being fast is one only of them i.e. Mir's championship. He will be up there

I thought it was an impressive start from Marquez and it wasn’t surprising. Acosta is settling in quickly. He looked all business after the race rather than celebrating a decent start.

The full race tomorrow will be interesting.

Cal's quote is self serving because he couldn't beat Marc, and because at the same time it insults the entire motogp field saying that they are not as talented as cal in that they would not have beat either marc or himself if they were not on a ducati. its also an insult to the manufactures. Marc has been very humble in his ducati start up. I don't doubt he will win and run for the championship. He will however have to fight some real talented people. the quote implies Marc is beyond the entire field because the entire field is a bunch of chumps, and the only manufacturer thats worth a s#!t is Ducati.

I think it’s understandable. He’s certainly showing his potential very quickly and I think we’ve got a lot to look forward to as he gains experience.

I was impressed with Marquez, Binder continues to look strong and Peco showed why he is number one.

It would be nice to see the Japanese getting in the mix and I was disappointed with Aleix’s performance.

Moto 3 was excellent.

I told beautiful about half race that Pedro's rear would shortly be grease. I think there's a bit of engineer in Peco so the translation to the mechanics is efficient. There's data and then there's data...

what happened to Viñales? crazy race for sure
Acosta is what the announcers are saying he is

That looked like a technical issue at the final corner on the penultimate lap for Mav. Unlucky really.
And yes Acosta is on another level. Jack losing his seat for sure next year. Binder may be out if KTM secures #MM93 for next season.

makes sense I didn't see him looking for the shift lever with his foot so he must have decided to it was in freewheel. having a bike with zero engine braking would be unnerving at that point of the track
