Awesome Photo

This corner at Sepang produces the best shots in MotoGP:

Found another great shot at the same corner in Sepang from the "nightmare years" of the GOAT 's career. You couldn't tell by this shot that he was lapping mid-pack or that his talent may had "run out."

I can do that, hold my beer..

calculations on craches on this sport are a natural thing .. one can crash and never ride again. As can we all.. as i missed most of VR glory years, it s hard to ..... all of his antics.

but his 9 WC says enough i guess. and his equal mastery of PR combined puts him in a league of his own. I ve never seen such a loyal base of followers in sport anywhere.

But all this does not alter the fact that, as all kings do, one day they retire. Does this mean they can no longer rule? of course they still can . But they have lost that edge. the edge to carry them to the top over a while season. And it has to do with age.

This said it feels that all the crash consideration only do one thing : it belittles the almost inhuman talent and achievement little MM has and has reached.

Last year he not just only became the youngest rookie ever to win a WC, when it counted , he just smashed the likes of JL,DP and VR. he broke records on tracks he'd never been before. het knocked .4 of seconds of his best qualifying time on his last fast lap.

and the most amazing still : the way he mastered the GP beasts in his first ever wet race . to almost near-crash five times a lap for 5 laps and then came back up into second.

and on top of that he kept his cool when it mattered. He managed his season to the end. doind what it took to win the WC. Just as the year before, JL did with DP...

JL is riding the best he has ever done. and that is solely due to MM putting the bar higher for him. if he doesn't ride his absolute best, he won't come even close. Now JL is the guy who knocked VR of his throne. It was JL who pushed VR away from Yamaha. and now this 21 year old comes along and smashes JL out of contention in his first season.

and when you add the absolute domination in whatever condition in Moto2 , we may well be looking at the greatest talent of all time. Whethter he will outdo VR in the statistics, it is luck that will decide.

One bad fall is all it takes for that not to happen.

RIP 58 !

and for Rossi. I think the way VR treats MM, it is clear that he has appointed MM as his only heir. and that he knows that the king is dead. Long live the king. May the old go out with a BANG.. :)

yea but i was never going to get a full system at all but it was so cheap i couldnt pass it up. i had the slips and was fine with that found a display model of the header the only thing i didnt get was the termi box. so im not really unhappy

jeff some great pictures there. here you go watch the goat take turn 3 at philip island. 5th gear turn . start at the 1:05 mark

goat? Him? He won a couple of races and he's the goat? Man, I get that you don't like Rossi, but calling Stoner the goat is seriously borderline delusional.
