MotoGP video pass worth it?

I'm a long time cord cutter and have been subscribing to WSBK and MotoGP video passes for the last couple of years. MacBook through HDMI or streaming to Apple TV, worked like a charm.

However, even though I have 55 Mbps connection the quality pops in and out of HD too often and races sometimes drop out altogether due to issues at their end. Last season, they lost the live signal altogether for most of the last MotoGP race of the season "due to volume of traffic". It's not like anything was at stake or that they could have predicted more viewers for that race  That was enough for me - I'm not paying for a service they can't reliably provide.

This year I'm using Sling TV with BeIn package added for a total of $25 per month. Gets me both championships plus a ton of other content. I was already paying for Sling so $5 extra per month and I can downgrade again when the season is over. Seems reasonable. Plus Sling is on almost every platform. We will see how it goes.

Mark how do you watch on your laptop? Other than a HDMI cable i wonder if i can play it on my TV via Roku?
Only reason i am looking into it is because i thought it wasnt on fox sports anymore?
I thought its only on bein sports now

sorry i missed that. how i watch it is simple i use my iphone web browser and i have apple tv. using airplay you dont need any cables and i watch it on my tv.

this year i think its on fox sports 1 and be in sport . i have both but i like watching it on the pass better.

i also like watching all the press stuff and i like to watch qualifying.

No need seeing as all Motogp, WSBK and MotoAmerica racing is being broadcasted by BeIn sports here in the US(FIOS Channel 596) :)

really moto america didnt know that. the only problem i have with be in sport is its owned by al jezeera. it comes in the sports package though which gives you all the fox sports on direct tv. so either way you pay for it even if you dont watch it.

Problem with BEIN for me, as a Comcast subscriber, is that they broadcast BEIN in 480P despite it being HD elsewhere, and the HD online streaming package available to other cable subscribers through BEIN is not available with Comcast. Sucks, since there is a lot of moto and cycling coverage that I want on BEIN that's hard to put together in one place otherwise. Snippers getting oiled up...

i like to watch more than just the racing laps. the pre-race analysis with the riders and especially the post-race interviews, the awards ceremony, etc....i like to see all of it and broadcast tv doesn't always show much of it for every race.

I have the same issue... i see that BEIN is on comcast at an upcharge of about $15 a month and its NOT in HD... why would i want to watch bikes do 200 MPH in 480p... seems like a waste

I am looking at the MotoGP pass and its $154 (about $13 a month break down) but now I have to pay on top of cable, which FS1 used to cover it... I saw the link for the Fox Sports, however, when I look on comcast coverage for the race, only BEIN shows coverage, not FS1... maybe I am just being cheap here, but i want HD without paying more for it and IF i pay more I dont want it to drop as other have explained with motoGP pass.
