Motorcycle shootout the rest of the story

Bike choice has always been something personal for me and no one else can or should influence that decision, this is what test rides are for.

Unless of course you want bragging rights you now go buy the R1 to be able to say yeah, I have the fastest bike this year! That's a bit lame if you ask me.

I know full well the Panigale isn't the fastest out there, but I know damn straight it's the best looking and sounding.

I guess my point is if I was fortunate enough to be able to own all of those bikes and have them in one garage, I would still take the Panigale out more often than not for pure grin factor........ the R1 for track I guess

To each his/her own. I am glad that we have the opportunity to choose between Italian, Japanese, Austrian, German and American motorcycles. I remember when some know-it-all fan boy asked me why I bought a RC51 when the GSX-R was the fastest. Because being the fastest is not the point! Not mention, it is my money after all.

You left out British ...:cool::D

My girlfriend is British, I don't trust how those things are built...
You don't trust how British Girlfriends are built? I have had a couple that were a bit top-heavy and one that I couldn't slow down when she really got going, but generally, British girls are quite solidly built, enthusiastic and mostly serviceable for their intended purpose; just don't go trying to mod them, they don't take kindly to bolt-ons being suggested to them.. :D

I don't see anywhere where BMW wins over the Ducati but they get 2nd place?? They did mention that it was more comfortable in the video but that's subjective. They said its not the end of their shootout they want to test the Aprillia, MV and R1M but didnt include the 1199R which according to the Ducati's spec should spank all. Ducati get's penalized for being expensive as always. Ill like to see a review of all out performance and let the consumer decide what is expensive.

Comfort not speed, an erratic ECU and very expensive............ bolt on or strap on?

Lol. Mine has bolt-ons. She suggested it herself.
