Looks like fun! What is that cable mounted near your left side switches for?

Its a remote span adjuster to move the brake lever closer if you get brake fade. I actually used it on the day as the bakes gave a little fading!

Finally managed to upload a video in HD of my second track day with inters/expert around Brands Hatch Indy

DUCATI 1199 PANIGALE BRANDS HATCH INDY CIRCUIT 08/08/13 - YouTube

Great video! Thanks for sharing. I know the UK is more traditional and cultured in their Motorsport in general, so correct me if I'm wrong..... For you guys open track days are for the road going public, meaning not for non-street legal bikes, no tire Warner's, etc...correct?
BTW, B.H. is an awesome track!

Ride safe,

Generally you can ride what you want on UK track days, race bikes & tyre warmers are normal. The only thing they really care about is noise, testing is compulsory at all tracks now prior to being allowed out and limits are becoming more and more restrictive. It's bizarre but now the only time you need to fit baffles is at the track.

There are a few days for road legal bikes only (pretty rare) aimed more towards beginners & to keep racers away.

my 1199 failed the noise test at pembrey 106 d what exhaust have you got and what noise level was it
many thanks mike

Hi mate,

Iv got a full Termi system with both baffles in. The noise engineer at Brands told me to thoroughly warm bike before having test done, leave it in gear and clutch it in. Also lean the bike over as far as you can as the noise bounces off the floor raising the db reading! My bike read 100db with extra wadding stuffed up the cans before baffles were inserted. As soon as you've cleared the noise limit, pop the baffles out along with the wadding (if the drive-by traps aren't set too low).

Hope this helps :D
