Good morning ladies and gents!
I wanted to reach out to everyone and say hello! I currently live in Sheldon Vermont and lucky enough to own two beautiful Panigale's. For many years )since 04) I have owned several GSXR 750's. Last summer I sold my 2013 for an offer I could not refuse. I believe it took me an entire 2 days to end up at a Ducati dealership. Even though I told my wife I would not buy another bike until the fall After finding out Suzuki was not changing their platform on their 750 AGAIN. I figured to start looking elsewhere. I like a mid size motors for tracks, so I wasn't interested in getting a liter bike. For the heck of it I started looking at the 959 and ended up with one in my garage within two weeks. Last year I was able to get out and do 4 track days on the machine and 1700 miles. I can attest it is a beautiful and crafty piece of machinery. As a novice track day rider I can say this bike brought my confidence and level of riding up. The first track day on the new machine I was already gaining more confidence through the corners and to my surprise started getting my knee down for the first time.
Shortly after my purchase of my 959 the launch and announcement of the 1299 FE came around. Although way out of my price range I could not stop thinking of the machine. IT was an obsession. Pictures, articles and videos for months. If YouTube were on VHS I would have broken every tape that recorded the FE reviews. Finally my wonderful wife gave me the permission to buy the bike. Under one condition, I sell my beloved diesel truck for the down payment. We immediately placed a down payment on the bike and within two weeks had the truck sold. On December 23rd I took delivery of my beautiful 1299rFE number 450!.
