Damn homie!!

Sorry to hear about the back.. +1 although no surgery yet hopefully never..

You should strengthen your core more... Sit ups, squats, burpees, buy an 1199..

Then you should be all set..
Currently in the gym doing just that. I let the fusion heal for a year as my orthopedic doctor instructed and now I'm on that horse to losing the weight i gained and strengthen back up. Now you all know why I have a baby pani lol. And i was worried i wouldn't be able to ride again but getting on my old R6 i knew it wouldn't be a prob. Leaning forward works for me, I don't hit that metal wall. Now a bike like a harley leaning back would never work Cause i hit that metal wall restriction. I call it the wall cause you can only bend to a certain point and your stopped lol. Got me an akra system in my back lol.

I went from a 2006 Honda CBR 600RR...no excuses here my friend

That's the the RAIN mode is for :cool: ;) :cool:
Ok apparently you missed the point of me having TI aligning my spine. when you endure that and feel how it restricts your body then you may comment. ....... duh....

I hate to get back on topic or anything but I still would like to know where you are going to put that module.

I'd like to know because I'm considering this along with all the other piggyback systems.
Some pic of the install would be big help.

I would really like to know how the bike runs. I'm really skeptical about piggy-back systems on the Panigale given how sophisticated the mapping is, with a separate throttle and fuel table for each cylinder and 3 different riding modes. How does the piggyback system know which riding mode you're in, because if it just applies a blanket fuel adjustment on top of everything I would foresee problems with that given how much different each mode is as far as fueling and throttle position. Not as simple as the "old days" when you had manual throttle bodies, a single map, and you could just slap a power commander over it and overlay additional fuel at the RPM where you wanted it.

Jarel, what are you guys using to tune the Akra?

I was at Yaman's shop (Orlando Motorcycle Shop - Parts and Service | Cycle Pro Orlando, FL) earlier this week looking into it. My understanding is that the Rapid Bike Race system uses either the OEM O2 sensors or optional Wideband O2 sensors to continually tune the fuel and ignition maps in real time. As opposed to Bazzaz and Power Commander with auto-tuning modules, which you ride around on and then come back to do tuning based on the readings, the Rapid Bike Race is always on and always tuning. You can hook it up to the laptop and see what the changes have been made to the previous map, but it doesn't require you to do adjust anything, although I assume you can make manual changes. The system comes with base fuel and ignition maps that Rapid Bike has made at their headquarters based on aftermarket modifications to the bike.

Tuneboy ECU reflash on the race bikes. I try to steer people away from it on new street bikes that are under warranty, some decide to do it anyway.

So it's just shooting for an AF ratio at a given RPM? What about throttle position, does it wire into the RBW throttle somehow too?

Ill scan the installation photos for you and post up in this thread in just a few.

Jarel if you talk to Yaman from cyclepro he can explain everything to you. I know he's on this site just don't know his name on the forum..

My scanner is not working for some reason So i had to just snap photo's. Sorry for that. this is complete installation guide. When you purchase the module you create a user and get access to all the maps and the ability to adjust what you like. You just plug that module via usb to a laptop. There is a race version of the module on the website which is more for the 1199 though this evo is just as compatible for the 1199.

Thanks. My bike is a dedicated track bike and I'll be racing next year. My bike still has little over a year for the warranty and I may buy an extended warranty. So you would recommend an ecu reflash?tuneboy/rexxer) or piggyback? Going to talk to my dealer and see what my option are as well. Don't want to have any issue that won't be covered under warranty.

Well if you're racing next year your warranty will be void anyway, so no point in buying an extended warranty. I would talk to your dealer and see what they recommend/support, we've had problems of various kinds with pretty much every type of reflash, so I don't think any are foolproof. It's a risk you take to get a result, the important thing is having support available from your dealer when you have a problem.

With this flash it was suggested to have a ducati dealer do the installation so my warranty would not be voided. I was very admit about that before purchasing. I don't want to void out warranty. seems as if you can't even stare at your bike sideways without it chancing a warranty void.

What? If you enter a Ducati in a race the warranty is then void?

Please explain.

Absolutely, if you read your factory warranty guidelines here's the section on Exclusions from warranty coverage:

Exclusions to the Limited Warranty
The following are excluded from the coverage of the terms and conditions of the limited warranty:
1) All off-road and competition designated model Ducati motorcycles;
2) Any Ducati motorcycle that is engaged in competitive racing or related use;
3) Any Ducati motorcycle that is rented for use or utilized for any rental purposes;
4) Defects or damage caused by alterations to the motorcycle outside of Ducati factory specifications;
5) Total loss, salvage, junk, or scrap motorcycles, defined as follows:
A) The vehicle is declared to be a total loss by a financial or insurance company; or
B) The vehicle is rebuilt after being declared to be a total loss by a financial or insurance company; or
C) The vehicle is issued a certificate of title, salvage title, or similar title indicating that the motorcycle is designated as "salvage,"
"junk," "rebuilt," "scrap," or the equivalent thereof

It's generally understood by Ducati dealers and Ducati North America that normal track day use is not considered "competitive racing or related use" but once you put a number plate on it and line up on a racing grid, you are now outside of the warranty.
