new module from rapid bike just came in

+1 to what was said above. My RB R module has totally changed my bike. Its so much smoother.

As a note only the Racing module has the ignition & fuel mapping. The Evo has only fuel. Each cylinder is auto tuned for fuel (only) using the factory O2 sensors.

Its a pretty clever system, well engineered (coming from a guy who's been an automation/process engineer for the last 20 years), and is very straightforward to install. There are several other tuning options out there. None of which I have tried first hand but, for me, the RB works and I have no plans on changing.

I went with the EVO model and have installed it. Haven't had a chance to run the PC to it yet or go riding, but I am hopefully optimistic that it will help improve the bike from a fueling stand point.

The only kicker for me, is I couldn't justify the RACE version, but I hope that there is not too much difference in what the Evo can do versus what the RACE can do... More specifically, I'm hoping that the ignition mapping would not be a greatly missed upgrade.

I would venture to guess that the race model is most appropriate for track/race bikes and that the included ignition mapping probably makes the greatest difference for race gas and engines with modified motors (higher compression, cams, etc.).

I was at Yaman's shop (Orlando Motorcycle Shop - Parts and Service | Cycle Pro Orlando, FL) earlier this week looking into it. My understanding is that the Rapid Bike Race system uses either the OEM O2 sensors or optional Wideband O2 sensors to continually tune the fuel and ignition maps in real time. As opposed to Bazzaz and Power Commander with auto-tuning modules, which you ride around on and then come back to do tuning based on the readings, the Rapid Bike Race is always on and always tuning. You can hook it up to the laptop and see what the changes have been made to the previous map, but it doesn't require you to do adjust anything, although I assume you can make manual changes. The system comes with base fuel and ignition maps that Rapid Bike has made at their headquarters based on aftermarket modifications to the bike.

The PCV with autotune also tunes in real time as you ride my friend and is also always tuning, but only the fuel maps. Where did you get the idea from that it does not?
I will be adding the new ignition module when I go on leave (am in the Sandpit) and will post some dyno prints thereafter...

I installed my rb evo recently and still haven't done my recommended 200miles yet(weather). But I have to say that the rb has already made a huge difference for me. It has made lower rpm operation a lot smoother. :D

That post was a while ago, and it was my understanding at the time. Stay safe and look forward to your dyno charts when you get home.
