New Termignoni Up-Map?

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

another post, *update on the feel*, low end feel(fueling) is good, 1k-3.5k rpm definately feels like more power there. 4k-5k improved also, but around 4.5k rpm feels slightly twitchy.(improved fueling from before, but still slightly twitchy on slow rpm roll ons, i.e. slow controlled throttle ons in a turn) 5-7k also improve and of coarse above 7k hold on. as I ride and the computer has adjusted for fueling from the initial reprogram I definately would recommend for all to get it done weather or not you have an exhaust. one of these days I'll get to a dyno and have it dyno'ed. anyone know where the sensor is that needs to be disconnected for a dyno run? I would have to say that this retune has improved mid range hp by about 5hp just by butt dyno.

Has anyone had there new up map loaded at motocafe in Sunnyvale? I have a base 1199 with abs and I asked them about it and they said it just applied to the s and the tricolor and something to do with the dds.. Idk if they just don't know what's going on or what?

Ok, it's just the dealer is far away. And there's only so much arguing with stupid. I will call again tomorrow before I drive up there again. Guess I could drive to Phoenix if I had to (3hrs).

Very frustrated if they can't figure it out. I don't want to just leave it there and wait >.<. I ride too much!

Wish I could print some proof out or something!

Are you saying the dealer claims there are no updates?

All they have to do is this:

1) Hook your bike to the service console (cable of BT)
2) Connect it to a PC with the Ducati service software running
3) Click on "Global Update"

It lists all the modules and says status A/B/C - the letters refer to what modules are up to date, need updating, or have updates due soon.

Thats about it.

Hey guys...got this letter from my Ducati Dealer...he sent it directly to my email...was sent to my dealer by the After Sales Director of Asia to all Ducati Technicians.

This should help clarify questions on the new ECU Mapping or calibration for the Panigales.

Dear Ducati Technicians,

New Engine ECU calibration available for Panigale

Today in Italian local time, we will upload in the DDS DMH server the new SW calibration for the Panigale engine ECU (EU version and USA version; JAP and F version will follow by end of Nov).

In order to load this 2 files into your DDS 2.0, it's requested to be connected to the DDS web as usual update procedure.

We are going to publish a dedicated Workshop Campaign (vehicle update technical bulletin) in the next days but in the meantime we would like to inform you about the SW content.

Please share this info with your network if necessary. (But please do not publish until technical bulletin updated)

The new engine calibration includes:
"¢ Improved rideability with OEM exhaust and with DP silencer & DP full racing exhaust
"¢ Improved power with new full racing exhaust calibration
"¢ Improved engine behavior and increased engine torque at middle rpm with new Ride by Wire setting (riding modes Race and Sport)
"¢ Improved quickshift first/second gear at partial throttle

All the bikes in stock have to be updated before delivery, for the rest of the Panigale bike sold, we are not going to send a communication to our Customers therefore these bikes have to be updated during normal service operations.

For any further clarification you may require, please contact us.

Thank you.

Best regards

Takio Mori

Ask them again in a much louder voice. The Up-MAP is real. Recommend they speak with Ducati or if they can't make international calls then call another Ducati dealer.

Perhaps try not to refer to it as an "up-map"
They maybe confusing it with the up-map associated with with termis. I experienced this with our dealer, but when I corrected myself and referred to it as an ECU flash, the lights went on ;)

I asked my dealer in michigan for update on fuel maps etc and he stated nothing is coming up thats new for my 1199 with stock exhaust. Not sure why the inconsistency in dealer news.

My bike is booked in for the 1000km this week. The service manager new nothing about a up map last week. Will try again with Ecu flash and see if I get a different response.

Ok, they figured it out. Something was wrong with their unit. Tried it on another bike it went, then mine again and it took. YAY!
