With the Norton coming in around 35-40k, and somewhat limited production would you say its a better purchase than a Speciale or V4R when its announce?
What are your overall opinions of the bike?

With only 4 US dealers currently listed on their website it with be extremely rare compared to the Panigale V4, it is all depending on what is your cup of tea :D

Both bikes are amazing in their own respect but the Panigale V4 appears to be substantially more refined and in my opinion and will be a much smoother ownership experience in the long run.

Has anything ever been cheaper but better for a comparable product.

Yes. But this isnt necessarily about which ones cheaper, the Norton has rarity appeal and costs around the same as the Special/V4R. I fell in love with the Special but I've been eyeing the Norton since its revealing. I'm a bit torn honestly. Will want to see what the V4R is made of before committing to one over the other.

KMY has one. Maybe you can pm him and ask the man directly. He has every bike that's ever been manufactured since the Flintstones days!

The V4rr is a beautiful machine, packed full of technology. The carbon fiber body work is a thing of beauty.

But without a strong dealer network, maintenance and service work might be an issue. It also might not be as refined as a Ducati, since these bikes are built in small numbers and aimed more toward collectors and owners who have multiple bikes in their stable.

If this bike is going to be your main bike or your only bike, then I think you'd be better off with the Ducati.

HAHA!!! Love you Double! That's a good one. :D

I'm honestly in love with my Norton. I bought it because of the styling and sound. The first time I saw it in person I knew I needed one in the garage. It's not a practical machine and it's slow and a bit uncomfortable, but it's also not an everyday ride for me. It's so different than my other bikes and it's a hoot cruising around. I've never seen another one on the road so for all those reasons it checked the right boxes for me. It's also been problem free to this point (knock on wood). No oil leaks or gremlins like the norton's of old.

My guess is the buyer who gives the nod to the Norton is looking for something a bit different and not just the best performing bike on the planet. I see a Ducati V4R in my future, but I'm definitely happy with my decision to pick up the Dominator SS.

Plus I think the Norton V4 looks amazing!

The actual V4RR not the standard V4 model. Supposedly has north of 200HP, but hasn't been released yet.
Sorry, i was just kidding.
Any true motorbike lover knows Norton very very well.
I truely would love to have room for a Norton and enough money to buy it, but unfortunately i'm not rich enough. Can't complain, compared with most of the people living on this old globe, but i must be happy with what i can have. In my eyes, performances are just one of the reasons to buy a motorbike instead of another. Norton anyway have a good place on my wishlist.
