I ride with 2 of these bikes... they're sure quicker than the 1199...but mine gets all the looks and comments...

I keep telling him he can't beat one, but he still has doubts. :)

I'm getting the 15/41...hoping I can represent after that....:D

Are there any twisties in Texas? You may be better off getting a turbo 'busa. It seemed pretty flat and open the last couple times I have been down there. Not exactly Pani country. :)

Im supposed to take mine in on saturday to get the dash replaced. I just cancelled the appointment. Ill be trading the bike instead. Got the new R. So psych'd!!!

You'd be surprised.... There are lots and lots... but freeway to get there is where they kill me....

Yeah, when I was working in Richardson and ordered my Pani, I always wondered how far I would have to ride to actually hit some curves.

We ride out either South/East of Ft Worth... or North of Decatur towards the Ok border.... its Texas..you have to look for a bend.. but they're there...

There is a BBQ place I flew to, south and a little west of Dallas. 30 minute flight, so maybe an hour ride. It is famous, checker-clothed tables, outdoor pit, no alchohol, and they have another one just west of Richardson too. There were golf carts at the airport, you go four wheeling to the restaurant as it was a half mile from the runway.

Not sure about that place...but if you are ever near DFW you should visit Hard 8 BBQ in Coppell...its really really good and their brisket is to die for...

Found it! HPR in Stephenville. It was a fun place to fly my plane to, and the terrain had some hills, so maybe a good ride.

There are curves, but admittedly depending upon where you live in Texas it's a bit of a drive to get to them. But at least we can use Radar Detectors here (and I need them badly!) :D

Yeah, here we can't do radar and they are wicked tough on speeders. :(

I spent the first 18 years of my life in East Texas and you do have to be creative and sometimes search for the curves. One down side is most of the lean inspiring roads are in the country. Beautiful views but there is a high risk of deer, ....., etc. You know what Texas does have now?... COTA! Can't wait to get a track day there. I don't care what the cost is!

I'm pleased that this thread turned into BBQ in Texas, twisties and how can we beat S1K's on the freeway. :)
