Oil change and ECU update

Just had my oil and filter done, had the indicator wiring loom added under warranty and ECU updated, well the update has transformed the bike, smoother round town and feels far more responsive under hard throttle, 2nd gear up hill on the way home opened up as per usual and nearly flipped her, got the heart rate up and bum hole puckering but a woohoo moment, so went and did it again to ensure it wasn't a fluke, definitely transformed the bike.
 
What update?
Am I missing something:confused:

Ducati just announced that countries in the Asia/Pacific region get updates based on who has the better rugby team. :D

There is an ECU update for the 899 and 1199R.

It is supposed to correct hard starting issues and there are reports that it actually improves throttle response. There was some confusion that this fixes the hot start issue, but that has not been confirmed.

I submitted an inquiry on the ducatiusa.com site and got a call from HQ - Italy this morning. She said that this is not a recall campaign, however if you contact your dealer, they should be able to determine if this applies to your bike.

Jarel said that it didn't include the base, S, etc. however it appears that might not be the case.

The dealers (as I was told by the mechanic) just get them when they get them, then once bike hooked up it does it's business, if it is up to date they should be able to tell by looking up your VIN on line. Could help with some of the issues people have been experiencing. Jared is on the mark with all info supplied that I have seen so far, so no reason to doubt him, he is a dealer from what I understand.

This was evidently only released Monday, however it was distributed globally.

The reason I wasn't sure about the models was because base models should not have received the update.

That is my point. I saw that you had a base from your sig and that is why I specifically said that it shouldn't have included the base. Thanks for clearing that up. Back to what I said earlier... Jarel said it was only for the 899 and the 1199R.

Interesting.

So this latest update was released on Monday.
I shall take mine into the dealer ASAP(weather permitting) as it's due for the 12,000 km service.

Mine is an "S".
So we shall see:)

I shall dutifully report back as soon as I know more, and with as much detail as I can gather.
 
I dont see why we Base owners should be segregated just because we are the poor mans Panigale LOL.

Well, I have seen that said about the 899.

As for your bike, I would hardly call it your typical base considering your list of upgrades and mods!

Also how many titles do the Crusaders have compared to any other super rugby team???

We poor Aussies have to take what we can. Let's hope the Bledisloe bring a small measure of success.
