Really? Very interesting, because if that's the case, it means the 1199 must be WAAAAAAAAAAY faster in the corners in order for the 1199 to be more than 4 seconds a lap quicker around Monza. I'm done wasting time .. Logic, facts and reality are kryptonite to you.

P.S. Post the videos of the 1198 "spanking" the 1199 onthe straights, or GTFO.

You must not own one, I've taken my late 2012 stock off the showroom Base to the drags at Redding drag Strip, last year, first ever pass it runs 10.8 at 140mph. I've been able to bring it there 4 or 5 times, beat ZX14's ZX10's GSXR1000's BMW 1000RR and whoever I've lined up with. 10.5 @144mph last time out, still stock, still can't get it off the line very good.
The bike is extremely fast in the real world, the old win on Sunday sell on Monday program is not going to plan for Ducati so far with this model, but it will. Are the bikes a pain in the ass to own? YES, for me dealers 150 miles away, can't buy oil or filters for it in town ect. ect. So what, that's the price of being cool, riding what I want, and not being part of the herd on the Jap merry go round.
 
Just stop feeding the troll guys. Every single one of his posts is a troll post. Forums getting worked up over posters like this can be poisoned. This is a good forum, full of useful information. Just ignore him and he will go somewhere else to get his kick from riling up a bunch of enthusiasts. Let's not let another tye1138 wannabe kill a good vibe.

Do you really believe that this video proves anything other than the 1198 rider is actually one hell of a rider(which he is by watching turn 1 and 2). Put 1 prof on each bike then tell me. Not 2 dudes on a track when you don't know who they are. I outran dudes on R1's and GSXR1K's on a R6. Does that mean my R6 was faster than their bikes "HELL NO" it just meant I rode better.

Did Troy lap faster than on the Ducati 1198 Superbike?
"Yep, I clocked a time 0.7sec faster on my third test at Mugello than on the 1198 Superbike. It's really fast, and again, there's much more to come.
