Are we talking about a race winning bike or are we still talking about that disaster it's over two seasons now enough with the excuses!

I assume you know that a Ducati 1199 won the 2014 World super stock title, with Leandro Mercado riding it, right? Those bikes are closer to what we ride than the World Superbikes by a LOOOOONG shot.

The 1098r is a better track weapon than the panigale. The biggest problem the 1199 has is its lack of power where you needed it at most bottom end and midrange grunt is sacrifice for a average topend.I have never seen a bike suffer more on the straights than the 1199 wsbk knows they made a big mistake with the panigale. The 1098r kills the panigale everywhere on the track outer corner down the straights in every department except for braking don't mention handling please at high speed the thing wiggles like a snake wears the 1098r is very stable believe in nothing that you read and half of what you see.Why haven't anyone seen a comparison between the two bikes Ducati doesn't want people to know the truth about its flagship model and the 1299 will only hold off angry customers for the moment.

But we are discussing 1199 against the 1098R . We have given you many examples already . Forget WSBK the competition has changed since the 1098 was king .

Some somewhat rose tinted memories of the 1098R being voiced here. The reality is every bike just like every professional rider are "of their time". The goalposts have moved on in the intervening years and to compare two technologically very different bikes, is fraught with problems. Whilst each have their own merits, they share only an evolutionary path and a brand name.

Like what was said before just telling the facts between the two bikes

but that's the point you haven't shared any facts just some WSBK wins when the facts are those bikes are nothing like what we ride, especially the 1098R. Do you honestly think you can do some minor changes to a 1098R and have a WSBK??

here are some facts.

Troy Bayliss on the 1098, best lap time at Monza, was a 1:45, in 2014 it was wet when qualifying, so in 2013 David Gugliano did a 1:41 on the terribly underperforming 1199. Any guesses what the 1199 lap times will be this year? Face it, the 1098 ridden by Bayliss would only be around 1 second a lap faster than today's 1199 super stock and THOSE ARE some facts.

The 1199 Panigale is at a minimum 4 seconds a lap faster than the 1098 and that's a fact.

you are talking about a different generation of bikes, you cannot compare the two and you have changed the discussion to talk about race wins.

Now tell me how are our bikes the same as WSBK.

Ok so where's the race wins to match the single lap times
you incorrectly claimed that the 1098 is faster than the 1199 and you have been provided with many facts that contradict your claim. Race wins have precisely zero to do with which bike is faster, whereas lap time DO .. Put on your big boy pants and admit you're wrong.
