I have no clue as to the actual problem, but did you check the headlight fluid? Sometimes it evaporates from all of the HEAT and causes the bike not to start.

If not that I would look into the rearset pulleys.

Not telling you anything, just a gentle ask, which I knew you would ignore, no biggy. I would not join an AR forum if I didn't own it, unless just to ask questions. If you do own a Panigale, you are very weird for not admitting, but I am not telling you have to. All good.

well to be fair, frosty was on here a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time before he even owned a pani.........just sayin. ;)

.
And Vast, you are an ok guy, but get a Panigale if you want slam people that own them :)

Ok so I purchased my Panigale ABS early in JUNE. I have just over 850km on the bike and rode it for 1 hour yesterday. I got home and parked it with the steering locked as I stayed at the GF house last night and it was outside. I put on all my gear this morning and strutted to the bike like a pimp like I always do. I put my helmet on and gloves and then sat on the bike. Put the key in the ignition waived to some kids and turned it to the on positon and my heart dropped. NO POWER AT ALL. not a drop of juice. NO led display no clicks no humm nothing. I DONT GET IT. I called the dealer and they said it could be a few differnet things. 1 they said it may be a dead battery. Ok but when I told them the trickle lead was flashing green they said ok prob not the battery. They said it also may be a fuse. A fuse? the bike is brand new! I was late for work already so I did not get a chance to check the fuse but im sure thats not the issue. I callled another dealer and spoke with their "TECH" as I have found my dealer to be completly ........ at times. They said there is a very good chance the battery was never charged to full capacity during PDI. SOOOOOO when I get off work today im going with a volt meter to check the battery to see if thats the problem

Has anyone had this problem or can offer educated advice? im no tech or bike pro by any means. I just like to go fast and look good doing it. HELP A FELLOW 1199er OUT PEEPS

DUCDUC< got the same problem a couple of days ago, my bike has 5000Km on the odo, was supposed to head to the tracks then my bike suddenly died on me about a km away from our house. tried to restart it but the dash display doesn't light up, hooked the battery up to the charger ( I always carry the dp charger with me)and led indicator was on green. I was wondering if you had e-lock error or low battery warning before your problem came about? mine does for a day before my problem came up. anyway I had to hire a van to pick up the bike going to the dealer and the problem was LOOSE POSITVE BATTERY TERMINAL. try to retighten and see if it helps.

I know, but he is the worst example - at least he was up front about not owning one, like any of thei matters :)

Beyond me why anyone would belong to a forum for so long without even wanting the product - I barely have time for one for a product I do own.

if he's a finance manager at a car dealership then he should have gotten an extended warranty, you know road side assistance and all the wonderful benefits the extended warranty provides. Just saying.

lol lol

Did you have any accessories installed that could drain power?
If not I would guess something shorted out and drained the battery.
FWIW, you Canadians need to learn to get along :D

Frosty will never say anything to someone's face. He is worthless on this forum and honestly to say he belongs to this forum makes us look like clowns.... He honestly really never adds nothing positive just that type of guy that gets under your skin and makes you want to curse out his whole fam....

He added some good info on my career thread... and he's got a blue collar sense of humor. If you guys are really that bothered make sure you never step foot in a auto garage or fire house or workside... its ball busting ... its funny. You should have heard the beating I took when I drove the wives lexus to the firehouse. You would have thought I showed up in women's lingerie or something. Laughed it off and went on my way. Had a rookie ask how to change oil in his car.... we told him everything but how to change the oil. Then I sprayed his car down that night for about and hour in January. Left it covered in about a half inch of ice. He laughed his ... off. Point is the things frosty says is out of the same reasoning as all ball busting. .. to see if you can get a rise and to get a laugh when you do. You are fueling the fire.

You got that wrong, no one person can ever bring this forum down :) The last person that said that is long gone and good riddance :D

I had one on order a LOOOOOONG time before I owned one too. At least I was actually interested in the bike.

Really? Is that why I have twice the number of thanked posts based on a percentage?

I think some of you have your blinders on, go look at threads started by me and let me know how many threads were created with me just being a .....

Extended warranty? I don't keep things outside of extended warranty. And as for Ducati they don't offer a factory extension. Ever tried getting 3rd party warranty to cover anything? Good luck. Ps bike has 800 km on it and no didn't leave the key in the ignition. Rode it hopped off slept and now no start. Fuses good battery full no dice :(

Since you're in the industry, can you tell us the truth about extended warranties? I purchased one for my 1199S. Paid "half price" of $700. Was it money wasted?
