strutted to the bike like a pimp like I always do.

. I make over 160k a year and like to buy nice things and enjoy my lifestyle. I came from poverty and worked my ass off to get the things I have in life.

2 hoes X $220/day X 365 = $160K

All I can say is, PIMPING AIN'T EASY! ;)

I say loose ground/positive terminal or faulty ignition switch. Could be several other possibilities though.

He added some good info on my career thread... and he's got a blue collar sense of humor. If you guys are really that bothered make sure you never step foot in a auto garage or fire house or workside... its ball busting ... its funny. You should have heard the beating I took when I drove the wives lexus to the firehouse. You would have thought I showed up in women's lingerie or something. Laughed it off and went on my way. Had a rookie ask how to change oil in his car.... we told him everything but how to change the oil. Then I sprayed his car down that night for about and hour in January. Left it covered in about a half inch of ice. He laughed his ass off. Point is the things frosty says is out of the same reasoning as all ball busting. .. to see if you can get a rise and to get a laugh when you do. You are fueling the fire.

Like I mentioned in one of the "heat" threads; The more evolved subjects of the species have much thinner skin than us cavemen, which means that Ducduc is probably an iceage or two ahead of us

Bike is in gear and the kickstand is down.;)

Many months ago someone called and I went over to there house. It was the issue, and no I will never let them live it down.:p

Good luck.:)

DUCDUC< got the same problem a couple of days ago, my bike has 5000Km on the odo, was supposed to head to the tracks then my bike suddenly died on me about a km away from our house. tried to restart it but the dash display doesn't light up, hooked the battery up to the charger ( I always carry the dp charger with me)and led indicator was on green. I was wondering if you had e-lock error or low battery warning before your problem came about? mine does for a day before my problem came up. anyway I had to hire a van to pick up the bike going to the dealer and the problem was LOOSE POSITVE BATTERY TERMINAL. try to retighten and see if it helps.

well despite what frost and some of the other helpful haters on here think. I am capable of troubleshooting. I checked the battery 13.8v I checked the fuses all in check. I checked the cables all were tight and connected properly. I looked around the bike for tampering as it was outside for the first time and EDMONTON has plenty of haters. No signs of damage. It makes no sense. I turned the key over and it was if I tried putting the key into a bike with no batter attached at all. However the red anti theft flash was still on and the trickle lead showed green. Not a drop of power anywhere else though. I rode the bike fine the night before. TO TOP IT ALL OFF. I called road side assistance and the sent a flat bed to tow it. The guy they sent spent 30 min strappin her down and then 10 min from our destination his truck broke down. WTF kinda day I had. They sent another flat bed and I made it to the dealer 15 min before they closed. There resident ducati tech is on paternity leave. FML

Since you're in the industry, can you tell us the truth about extended warranties? I purchased one for my 1199S. Paid "half price" of $700. Was it money wasted?

i decided against it. I sell warranty all day long and recommend it if it is a facotry warranty. The prob with ducati is it doesnt offer factory extention. The after market company just sends a rep out whos job is to find any way out. NOT WORTH THE DRAMA. However the price you paid is good and might just cover 700 worth of headaches after the 2 year factory is up. Dont sweat it my friend.

It's his fault that I recognized his avatar as an STD but couldn't remember what it was, then proceeded to google -.-.

I think the issue is these are basic things you should tried before calling the dealer, or coming here. On a forum full of "experts" you can expect to be chastised for not checking the obvious before coming to ask the all power Panigale forum! :)

Sorry op. the bait worked

thank you! finally something I can work with. Im going to check to battery power when I get home. I hope its something quick fix.

Yeah ducduc- must be a battery or connection issue. You'll learn real fast this forum is full of .... talking ........ who in no way help the OP. these people here expect all of us to pull the tank off and change pistons/do valve jobs/ blow them/etc etc when all we care to do is ride the bike and enjoy it. Hope you get your bike running soon. Mines been sitting at the dealer for 10 days now because an incompetent "master" Ducati mechanic doesn't know how to apply loctite to bolts on a bike that vibrates more than the vibrator frosty's wife uses to perk him up and stimulate his ........ .... you frosty. You can hate me and talk all the .... you want but at the end of the day you're just a bitch hiding behind a keyboard on the other side of the Atlantic. White, red, blue, pink I mean Jesus Christ SHUT THE .... UP ABOUT THE COLOR OF THIS MANS BIKE!!!!!! We get it!!!! You don't like white! Don't watch the movie kick ass 2 or you totally blow a fuse (if there are any non-blown ones left). Actually please do!
The fact that so many of you get a hardon for people who know NOTHING about maintenance is ........! Sure I could spend a day installing some parts! My luck ill .... something up (like I've done in the past), so I choose not too! And ducduc was just looking for some OPINIONS ABOUT HIS BIKE! Not a vote on whether you like a purple, red, white or see through dildo frosty, or whether the matte CF was "good enough."

Sorry ducduc but this guy has been infuriating me. I'm sure by line two reading this frosty will have a chubby, and about 40 minutes later while reading this sentence his load will be all over his computer screen.

This forum alone has made me HATE Ducati. Pompous ........ all over. I will enjoy my life when I'm back on a Honda; and back on HELPFUL Honda forums.
Ride safe.

Any update on this?

Have you tried to disconnect the batery cables for a while to reset all the modules?

Have you changed anything? Lights? Fender?

Remember that this bike has CAN bus, and sometimes some changes/mods will throw trash/problems into the CAN line.

Usually, problems in the CAN line should throw a code in the dash "CAN FAULT".

Hope you solve this fast and get you baby back ASAP.

I was late for work once I hopped on and it didnt start I just left in a cab and went on here incase it was not something stupid like a fuse or battery. I only asked because I wanted all the angles before I called roadside to come get here. So far I am new to this forum but not ducati. I would have to say majority of the people on here are useless. No offence to those of you who actually offer help or adivce that I can work with. The guys who just talk .... are really quite pathetic. You have nothing better to do with your time then come on a forum and talk nonsense? I asked for help and advice not critisism and ......... GO RIDE YOUR BIKES LITTLE BOYS. Thats what Id be doing if mine didnt .... the bed. I would not be on here rambling about kayaks and people without ducati's. Id have to say im annoyed with the comments about could be things that it could be after I keep saying the bike has ZERO power. I cant even get aux power to led display. It seems as though it might be something minor however my luck would say its a complete lemon... I have had no luck with any ducati I have ever owned. I may not be a pro but I know how to ride the damn things and troubleshoot as much as majority of riders. These days you need a computer to see what is going wrong with major issues and I can tell you that more ofter then not the best of the best dont have those to their disposal. Thank you very much to those of you who helped with the best knowledge they could. It is at the dealer now and will have an update when I know more. Never meant to offend anyone or cause drama. Just wanted a bit of help from some fellow pani riders. FROSTY you sure seem to need some attention. GO RIDE DOWN HASTINGS.

exactly!

Fyi, bike at dealer now being repaired

Bike is at dealer and typical dealer says well we will see if we have time today. No biggie guys not like its a long weekend with incredible weather! ....

If it was that, i think it would get power/display on the gauges.

+1

When I had my tank off to install the new MWR filter I noticed the ignition switch box exposed, I'm wondering if a wire got loose or disconnected.

sorry for the ...... luck, too bad it's in the dealers hands as I'm sure it's something stupid and simple. I love trying to figure things out on my own, hate to leave it in the dealers hands.

Good luck.
