I think there should be a thread where someone coorelates unnecessary arguing with the full moon. I noticed a full moon last night.
sheesh guys, I'm away for the day at work and look what happens!
I know! But, all will be right with the world again once Trans and Trauma kiss and make up.
Everyone knows makeup sex is the best. ROFL
(There's an interesting thread about green colored loctite type fluid being used on Multi front rotors.....owner couldn't remove the bolts....galling/seized)

over on ducati.ms? I read that. Actually you know LT Snyder who's a guru on ducs (desmotimes.com) doesn't recommend using loctite on brake rotor bolts.
I just changed out rotors on my sf as one rotor had warped so upgraded to full floaters, they had red loctite. FYI, easiest way to remove rotor bolts is an impact wrench. Also, a good idea to use new bolts when putting new rotors on.
Yes, that's the one.....thanks,
I saw a video (revilla maybe?) Where they drilled out the rotor rivets, and installed T-fastener kit to make a geniune T - floating rotor. Looked like a good idea.
motowheels sells the full floater buttons for rotors, you switch out the original buttons and replace with these
CORSE DYNAMICS Full Floating Rotor Button
Yup, that was it. Is anyone interested in doing this? I would think a no-brainer if you tracked much.
How easy is this to install?
Watch the video if you can find it. You just drill out the existing rivets, then install these using the washers and c-clips. Looks easy-pezy.
It does after watching the vid. Where can I find buttons to make the rear free floating?
I don't see what the problem is with this thread. I am a prospective buyer, and a thread like this is exactly what I'm looking for. I want a quick summary of all the problems that have popped up. I'd like to know what I'm getting involved with if I were to buy a new bike or a used bike. If there's something that catches my eye, I'll research it further to see how serious or not it is.
Most every other forum centred around a bike or car that I've participated in (and that's been a lot) have had a thread like this. Often it forms the basis for a mechanical diagnostics/help FAQ.
And I've got to say, the problems popping up for the 1199 look pretty tame. No one is talking about blown engines, cracked cylinder heads, or grenaded transmissions. The few dashes with the melted cases is a little concerning, but nothing else I wouldn't be willing to live with.
I don't think you guys need to hide this collected information from anyone.
