Panigale R and stablemates

I am not sure if you and V10LEE are personally acquainted but it would be fantastic to combine your stables if circumstances can be adjusted.
Fabulous collection.

HA! thanks. Yep Linston is a great guy and huge enthusiast. He has probably 10x the bikes i do!!!:eek:

Probably would never happen. One is a garage queen in pristine condition and the other gets ridden.

I've toyed with the idea but I enjoy these so much. Prices are getting a bit silly and I wonder how sustainable the current appreciation is. But 5 years from now I can't see them being worth less than they are today. I try and ride them all. even the low mileage 30. The only one that hasn't seen much road time is the D16RR. It only has 300 miles which I know is a shame. I'm going to change that though.

When I bought it I had the full engine out service done and everything refreshed including all the springs. GP7 which was new in the box was installed. Even though it was brand new it was still going on 10 years old so i wanted it up to date. Then it went into the garage. Miles will come this summer i hope!

I would love one!!! The quest never ends. Unfortunately garage space does! :D

Ha! You have a million more bikes than I do and I am already way out of room. I have no idea how you get them all to fit.

I did some rearranging with the lifts and this is the best I can do on the bike side of the garage. And of course not all are in the pic. Kev, how do you get yours to fit?

how much you want for the 888 SPO

damn i just noticed you have a sp5 such a killer bike

Can someone explain to my noob self why most people only have rear stands but not front? I thought the point of having stands was to prevent flat spots on the tires if they sit for weeks or months at a time.

PM me your cell and I'll call you. Also, call Chris Boy at MotoCorse Performance in Fort Lauderdale. I sent it to him to go over and sell since he knows the bikes super well. He can give you the straight poop on it. 954 622 8047.

Other than my 996R, my bikes don't sit for very long. I do have front stands for most of them but I don't use them very often.

It's too bad you don't have a track near by to take some of the bikes on there !
Is Sonoma Raceway far from you ?

It really is such a shame.

Sonoma Raceway is about 65 miles from me but the lack of runoff there always makes me nervous. Laguna is about 100 miles but the noise restrictions are tough. Thunderhill is probably my best option but is 150 miles away. So jealous of you guys closer to good tracks!

We have a few decent roads in the area, but nothing like wringing out the bikes on a track.

On a separate not there is another one incoming shortly. Headed straight to the local dealer for a full service. Here's a hint - it's getting belts done :D

Will update this thread once it's home.

Mark here on the forum provided a nice lead. Thanks mark! It’s a low mileage two owner bike and just arrived. Getting a full service, belts, valve check, fresh battery and new rubber and it should be good to go. I hear these 1098r’s have a ton of torque. Excited to have a go at it. Pics to come.

Well she made it home in one piece! Just picked the R up from my local dealer who brought her back up to date with a fresh service, rubber, belts, etc.

Only was able to cover about 10 miles, but WOW! What a beast. Low end torque is insane. Riding position also fits me really well. Nice combination of the rawness and visceral feel of the older machines and performance of the newer machines. You'll notice a few more stickers on this bike than what came from the factory. These were professionally added by the previous owner to match the actual bike Bayliss raced. They can be easily removed, but I kinda like them.

I'm looking forward to getting further acquainted with her and exploring her abilities.

In the meantime, here are a few obligatory pics...

Ryan, now I just need a 996R and 999R. Oh yeah and a 1199SL and 1299SL!!
:D And build a new garage... V4R when it comes out.... I guess it never ends.

I'm now at a point where not only is garage space gone, but I'm also no longer able to ride and enjoy these bikes as much as they deserve. I used to go on 40 mile rides pretty regularly with each one. I'll be culling things down at some point - once I figure out which ones I really want to keep.

Unfortunately that list changes weekly!!
