Point is I can't stand people who only buy bikes based on race wins and HP numbers. Who gives a .......I can't come close to the slowest bike in WSBK and probably will never utilize all of the power this bike has to offer. I certainly didn't buy a Panigale because of the HP numbers (for the early adopters) or race wins (late adopters.) I bought this bike because it looks ....... awesome, has the equipment I want for the money (Brembos, Ohlins, Forged Marchesinis) and has a ton of character. Part of that character is owning a quirky Italian bike. If you want something that is incredibly reliable, go buy a Honda. I promise you it won't break down and bolts won't fly off, but you'll be bored as all .... operating it.

Beers all round is a figure of speech. I wouldn't expect the less educated to understand what that is.

Lol.... Well given your use of expletives I am not sure you should be the one to raise the question of education.:p..

It seems you fail to accept that whilst you may not buy a bike based on its manufacturers success on the track.. I assure you that this ...not only this...but this is indeed a factor in riders choices about what they buy.... maybe that's lame... but its undoubtedly true... Aprilia are a tiny company and they simply would not spend the $$$ if it didn't factor into their selling doctrine...

and here i was considering moving to Canada...or better yet the antipodal lands!

It absolutely cannot be coincidence that you're from the same country that brought the world Justin Bieber.

Hence my question, what difference does it make, to the owners here, who won the race last weekend? There are thousands of Panigale owners, obviously they didn't buy the bike because of race results.

and to think of all the race fans blankly watching a car go round in circles with golden arches plastered all over it to find themselves after the spectacle super sizing themselves...

& they don't have Starbucks in South Africa? WTF?!?!?!

and have no fear, the entire US will go down in flames thanks to inane fiscal and insane monetary policy! canada fares better so congrats to you! you'll be buying up with your canadian dollars all the bolts and pieces that fell off your bike from US owners for pennies on the usd.

It's you're. I wouldn't expect someone who lives in the city that needed billions of dollars of bailout to get it right, just like they couldn't get their cars right.

Surely that's the only reason to own the BMW. It's FUGLY as.

Lol. Great job! An entire post from YOU that doesn't mention Starbucks or an F-bomb. YOU're gaining class by the post.

Unfortunately, and in direct opposition to my political beliefs, you're probably right. But we'll still have to protect Canada from any international bullies.

i'm politically agnostic; that is, i despise both teams. i believe in the constitution and liberty and true capitalism -- that which is no longer honored here.

got bolts?

Incorrect. I live in Canada. I'm from South Africa, but thanks for trying.

We're you exiled from South Africa for your opinions on the logic of buying a bike based on track performance & the ever so slightly & controversial style on which you did it........just asking!
