Funny you said this, the rules keep changing to force the race cars via decals (i.e., headlights) to look more like the production versions. Racing is two fold, they learn things in trying to build a winning car that helps them build a better car to sell, and the exposure of their name. Winning helps, but getting the name out there is what matters. When asked about my bike, I have always bragged of its atrributes, I never discuss how many races Ducati has been in or won. Yeah NASCAR does all that but seriously it's one of, if not the most boring racing formats in the world. How Americans buy in to it I have no idea!
Oh & it's 4am in the morning here, can't sleep & been down the the garage to double check all my bolts are tight. WTF!
