and manufacturers, aprilia 208, ducati..............65.........

The Aprilia looks like a Honda.

I don't really care if the bike is winning WSBK or not, are YOU winning any races on one? Honda is winning MotoGP, but I will never, ever buy one.

no escalation from me. i simply questioned the questioning as function of validity of OP's experience plus everyone else's -- there are many people that have complained of this since Pani started selling. in fact about a year or so ago i checked in here and saw this very complaint many times...

i know the argument of Pani being best looking is hard to deny, but why not call the proverbial spade a spade?

i think i'm going with the Aprilabusanda, looks notwithstanding!

.

I think we should call a fault a fault when we find one, and it seems that the Pani has quite some faults. This never was my point. I just asked a question about one member who has strong opinions about the Pani and it got escalated from there.

I got my Pani about 8 weeks ago. Many of you guys have been the early adapters of this bike. For a newcomer on this forum (and a new Pani owner) it takes some time to find out who gives you good info and who is just a troll. I do appreciate all the good info here. It is just a bike.

is ANYONE winning ANYTHING in here, save for aesthetics competitions? that would be a rhetorical question.

It's just a stupid statement. Honestly, who gives a .... what manufacturer is winning by a 10th of a second at the races? Let me know when you can come within 30 seconds of their lap times and I might take your comments seriously.

i doubt i could come even a minute or two near them. i would never dare even intimate that.

i just reiterated that making that point by you wasn't here nor there and yet the results show a level of engineering and a manufacturers legit claims -- you know when Ducati was winning they'd proudly bestow their consumer wares with WREATH STICKERS right? I had a few of those ;)

Interesting point. I think at the WSB races last weekend the pole was 1:26.5 or so. I think several on here could come within 30 seconds of that with a WSB bike.

THEY DO! Hence the wreath stickers proudly affixed to wining bikes; ie the Aprilia.

Jesus man! What is the point of these races and the drive to win them? To NOT sell bikes?

But you post like their winnings actually make a difference as to what bike people buy.

Winning on Sunday sells on Monday. You've never heard of that philosophy from the manufacturers that has been around forever?

Most bike shops are closed on Monday.

Let me know when YOU win anything on a bike. Who cares? So you can tell your buddies at Starbucks that some else did something amazing on a race-prepped version of the bike you own along with millions of dollars and a whole team of people behind it? Impressive.

What does the marketing strategy of every major brand have to do with me dickwad?

A bit off topic perhaps, but Jariva and pedrin: the two of you were among the biggest critics of anyone questioning the legitimacy of a certain exhaust manufacturer's claims on this site. Bullying, attacking, ganging up on, calling people 10 year old girls...some of the accusations/names thrown around. But here you are in this thread going after a member time and time again to arrive at the conclusion that he is a "fraud". Any thoughts on your hypocrisy?

I don't want to hijack the thread, but just to answer you (this is regarding the infamous AR thread), I never criticized anyone for questioning the AR system, but for the redundancy of the jokes, post after post, page after page going over the same thing again and again spreading form thread to thread etc..
regarding this thread, what is the right word to describe someone that deliberately acts as if he knew the bike as if he owned it when he actually doesn't? I acknowledge though that he never said that he did so perhaps "fraud" is the wrong adjective in which case, VAST, I apologize. but all that effort to bash the bike...not that it matters, but you have to wonder what the motivation is.

Ask Frosty. He's been here forever and just got his.

and how many here owned the AR system? allow me: about 1% of the posters. so I guess 99% up in here are, oh the feigned apology, frauds?

and pedrin, if you want to get into it, i can take it, but don't cry like RSR when i sling it back ;)

and speaking of motivations, why not simply admit that not loctiting bolts and designing them correctly is a BASIC FLAW? as is a fogging up dash revision f or is it now g, h, i, capacitors x, y and z?

Hahaha now you've resorted to name calling? Yeah, I'm the one with Aspergers.

My post was directed at VAST but since you jumped on board I included you in my question, but since you're being such a nancy I'll direct it straight at VAST.

VAST: When was the last time you won anything on a bike? You posted Aprilia's WSBK win as if it actually means anything to bike owners on this forum.

You don't have to own a bike to discuss it, but to provide an opinion about the experience of one as if you KNOW it when you actually haven't experienced it is very different. I could have told you lots of things about the Panigale before I finally got one, but I couldn't give you my opinion if it involved direct experience with the bike. More importantly I want to know what the .... WSBK results have to do with owning a Panigale or an Aprilia............ bragging rights at Starbucks?
