Thanks AntiHero, that makes total sense. I wonder if in that case they will go to a "diaper" solution as in drag racing? But catching 2-4 quarts of oil is a tall order.

Panigale being released to UK press next week accruing to visor down

......what exactly do you mean " released " to the press.

It's already being released in november,....MCN say (today) that they will riding the bike at the ride launch on Feb. 11th in Dubai.

...has Visordown rode it first ?

Ben Cope says the Panigale released to uk press next week on twitter. I presume they will have access to a static bike and 'undress' it

The hardest thing is going to be designing a fully enclosed bellypan that will encompass the whole of the underside of the engine, given how much intrusion the silencers have into this area. The ground clearance and heat, will probably not allow a design that encloses them as well, so doubtless it will stop short of the silencers and just cover the first two thirds of the underside area. Not an ideal solution, but with all the ironmongery going on, its hard to see how they will get around this.

just look at the KTM RC8 it has a fully enclosed belly pan they can do something similar to that im sure

I have to assume that Ducati will offer a different Termi system and belly pan for racing. That would make the most sense.
