Project 1199SPS

In readiness for WDW 2016, the bike is undergoing some minor cosmetic mods to the paintwork, some to address flaws/chips due to insufficient paint protection film and others to tweak the design to my liking. All minor stuff but I will post up pictures once I get the bodywork back in a few weeks time. It's really small stuff but should bring the bike up to the level I want it at. Had some damage sustained to the carbon number plate holder which resulted in me ordering a replacement, which is going to take CDT six weeks to manufacture, prep and deliver but since the bike is laid up until the Spring it's no biggy. Now I have a much better idea of what areas are vulnerable, this WON'T happen again!

Is this a bubble bike or are you riding it to WDW ?
No it does get ridden. Because the project was delayed, I didn't finish it until July last year, and work commitments left me with little time to use it until Winter drew in. I've ridden down from the UK to WDW and back twice now, so this time, as I cannot get as much time off work as I would like, I am saving time by taking mine and some other bikes down there in a van in one hit, and will ride once down there, then load them back into the van for the return trip. Not ideal. The alternative will be to have the bikes transported to Geneva and I fly out and ride from Switzerland down to Misano. It's not easy getting any time off at the moment, due to the poor state of the industry I work in, so I have to make the best use of what time I can get.

Well nothing stands still for too long as so is the case with my Project 1199SPS bike. Have decided to trade it in for a 2017 spec 1299S next year (as this will sport the same electronics suite as the Anniversario) plus I stand to minimise the loss of equity I have in it, by changing next year.

Will be stripping the current bike of all it's expensive goodies and any that are not transferable to the 1299 will be sold. If you are wondering when and where these will be up for grabs then this is the one and only link to them, as I simply don't have the time to list them individually on all the forums I frequent. Keep your eyes peeled and I will post up again once they are online for sale. Not sure what direction the next bike will go in but with a smaller shopping list owing to some parts migrating over, I can afford to invest the money on other goodies for the new beast.
