Q : Carl Fogarty and his opinion of the 1199

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I stated the fulcrum of my opinion and that being : Carl Fogarty is considered the greatest rider of all time - due to his winning track record which exceeds that of any other rider to date. This is the basis of my opinion. Considering he previously rode for Ducati, it naturally lends itself to the curiosity of what his opinion of the 1199 Panigale is.
Sorry but this basis is flawed, hence my earlier butting in

Agostini leads the overall wins league ATM with 122 wins, Rossi is next on 105. Rossi also has more world championships than Foggy (9 vs 4) Yes, Foggy is an absolute legend but he does not have the best track record of any other rider.

Who has WON more Super bike championships than Foggy - in the entire history of time thus far ?

Now, back to the thread. Anybody seen any articles concerning Carl Fogarty's opinion of the 1199 Panigale ?

The fact is you said he is generally regarded as the greatest of all time. This is just not true. I don't have any reports about how he feels about it. I agree it would be interesting.

BUT, don't just spew some .... and not expect it to be challenged.

Chris

It is real shame that you can not actually add any value to the question posed in the thread. If you don't know the answer in the first place just don't post anything. So instead you just start giving me .... and now you state that I am spewing .... ? You come across as an absolute TOOL. What are you the forum NAZI police ? Who the hell are you and what gives you the self imposed right to project your .... on me child. Who the hell do you think you are to tell me what I can and can not say ? Who the hell do you think you are to .... on my personal opinion on any subject.

Your free to express whatever opinion you want as long as you DO NOT PROJECT that .... on me, child. It also helps if you add value to the question of this topic thread rather than no value.

Stay on topic.

In the meantime Child, here is a link for you to watch :

I am sure Hailwood, Agostini and Rossi would not agree with Fogerty being the GOAT. :)

Before I get flamed for how many WSB races I have won, I would say exactly the same number as Mat1529 and CaliDuc ;)

I have not seen any reviews of the Pani by Fogerty

What are you talking about in your quote : "Before I get flamed for how many WSB races I have won, I would say exactly the same number as Mat1529 and CaliDuc " ...??? Where did this come from and what has it got to do with my question ?

What value is a statement such as "I have not seen any reviews of the Pani by Fogerty" ?? Is it not self evident that it helps if you ONLY post if you actually have some information.

It would also help if you spelt the guy's name right .. it is Carl Fogarty not Carl Fogerty.

Stay on topic.

The question of the thread being about disclosure of concerning the opinion of Carl Fogarty related to the 1199 Panigale. The fact that I say (in my opinion) that generally he is regarded as the greatest motorbike racer of all time is just that my opinion, I am not asking for a conversation on my opinion and I did not ask for an opinion other than what was explicitly asked.

Stay on topic.

Caliduc - you expressed that he is generally considered. This is much different than YOU consider him the GOAT.

You can say whatever you want and have your opinion. AS CAN I!

Again, it makes a big difference if you state it as YOUR opinion and not some general truth.

And .... off for calling me a child. I have 4 children of my own as a 40 year old man, I think you are wrong.

Chris

And you appear to be acting as the forum police by telling everyone to stay on topic and spelling corrections. You are behaving like a child.

What do you mean "Caliduc - you expressed that he is generally considered." ... huh ?!?

Is it not inherent that if i or anyone else communicate that is it by default my opinion unless I state otherwise *OR* is it a case that your are the kind of person who takes all forms of communication literally ? Is it not normal in verbose communication to use quotes to identify a literal statement. I know your type. Quick to escalate, quick to swear, quick on many things, except thought processes. Ah .. a bully. No content nor value except my entertainment ..

Ha ha .. got you loosing it now.

So, your name is Chris and your 40, hail from Ohio and have 4 children and you consider yourself a man ? Think you can tell me what not to say - CHILD. Your going to get further if you tried being polite in your communications and intent, instead of telling me to F**K OFF.

Your entitled to hold the opinion that I am wrong, the only issue is I clearly do not value your opinion and I am not asking for it.

Lets just say we agree to disagree.

Now, stay on topic.

I say you are everything you are calling everyone else in this thread.

Ask around when you say something with "IS CONSIDERED" you make it sound like a generally accepted truth.

Stating one's opinion generally contains the "I feel" or "I think" or "I believe" or "My opnion is".

I would think you would know this as a man.

BTW, please capitalize your I's!

If you think I am losing it after talking with an idiot from California, you must not have teenagers! ........

I asked the question and I am trying to add value by keeping it on subject. Admittedly, your entertaining sport but no more.

Chris, in my personal opinion I think you are a bully and you have a mental problem.

Sure thing Chris I will be sure to capitalize my I's as you suggest, could I simply suggest that you spell opinion correctly (instead of opnion) ; that one takes some doing to circumvent the auto spelling correct.

Err ... Chris, I do not believe " that I believe you are talking with an idiot from California", I simply feel your referring to yourself in your communications. For some bizarre reason you appear to be adopting my position to berate me ? Odd.

{an addition} Oh Chris on your "......." statement/projection, just so you know I am the kind of man who creates jobs, pays taxes and ensures my employees children have health care, food on their table and a spring in their step. So, yes, I do have responsibilities. Did you know that the majority of the taxes for the USA actually come from California !

Anyway, If your not going to add any value to the forum thread other than project a bunch of crapola on me feel free to private message to carry on the rant, like I said I believe you to be entertaining sport. Then again I might just delete your noise.

Not sure I would consider myself clever or not, but I do consider myself intelligent.

So many examples of you contradicting yourself in this thread. Enjoy living in your delusion.

Now maybe you can go apologize to those you offend with your ignorance and get back on topic.

I think Foggy is great.

Chris

Deleted since CaliDuc changed the post before my reply posted.

More of this "I know you are but what am I" is just too much for me to waste any more posts on.

Chris

Goodbye Chris and have a good one ;-)

Even though I personally believe that Carl Fogarty is the greatest rider in the history of time and respecting the wishes of all others (except Chris), if anyone has any data, information or intelligence related to Foggy's opinion of the 1199 Panigale, please feel free to post it.

Back on topic.

Christ....so did Fogerty give any reviews? This is the original question. I am just happy to own a Tri and to be a part of a family of friends mutual or not. Obviously we are all on here with mutual respect to the brand and the machine.

Peace

@ Mat 1529 4th July ITV are showing a DOCU called "Superbikes: when Britain ruled the World" There will be a lot of Foggy and Ducati in it. Watch it!!!!

I would he agree he is a Legend , he is a great, but he is not the greatest.

I do think he is one of the last of the old school "hard men" in the sport, not taking away anything from the current riders who often ride with broken bones and open wounds. However looking back Foggy seems to be the last of the breed when it comes to hard drinking, hard partying riders, in the same vein as Sheene, Doohan, etc. DOn't make em like that anymore.

Haven't seem him review the Pani, I think his partying and bluntness maybe seen as a bit of PR liability regardless of good or bad ;-)

You also stated Foggy has won more races than any one else. That is not an opinion that is a statement of an incorrect fact.

PS this is a forum, by it's nature it encourages debate and opinion. We each have a right to post. Further, my second post is not an opinion it is a fact.

PPS This thread has had in excess of 600 views with only one possible Foggy review, I think we can ascertain that there are very few "on topic" answers available.
