sorry for threa
d drift but sheesh you guys need to get out and ride more! :)

Not wrong there.. Would be if it would actually stop raining and flooding everywhere! Try living in England!

And thanks Cali will be watching it on 4th! and you hit nail on the head, they certainly aren't made like foggy anymore, and ok MR fact man... Who has got the most wins ever on a Ducati? I don't actually know the answer without some research, but considering this is a "Ducati" forum and a 1199 think that would be bit more appropriate!?

Let's start a new thread then... You thoughts on Foggy.... .? Clearly not in this one...!

O and would suggest that Rossi has won .... Let's see ... Big fat '0' on a Ducati!

Much to my dissatisfaction I would like to add, cos I do like him.

MR fact man = Marcbc...

I find it usually helps in a fact base discussion, rather than just random thoughts ;)

No idea re Ducati race wins and cannot be arsed to look it up. Perhaps Foggy? but then that was not how a few of us read the initial thread.

Yup, I do need to get out more, weather and no Panni are not helping though. :)

Time to move on, before it starts to become personal.

Indeed! But then got bit too personal way back... Which is a shame... Caused some discussion tho! Struth

To clarify, I love California and have visited many times. My comment wasn't to disparage Californians, just those who think all web browsers have spell check.

I'm 99% sure pretty much nobody anywhere regards him as the greatest racer of all time - besides maybe himself.
You seem to be forgetting Moto GP

Yes, even in WSC Troy Bayliss' popularity far outweighs Foggy's, nevermind the titles.

Sorry just remind me how many WSB races you've won fella?

Don't really care on his own attitude, or yours he is still a legend and you can't take that away from him... Just like Cal Crutchlow will be in Moto GP, watch this space...

Both English..?

ROFL... good one and it isn't even April Fool's Day. You really think Crutchlow is going to mix it with Rossi, Lorenzo etal on equal equipment... put down the bitters.

That's even crazier than Foggy being the GOAT.

Opinion fella, if you are a fella? You actually watch moto GP? With a comment like that it appears not. Again opinion, and that is mine, have yours but don't criticise others?

So did youwatch that ITV docu?? Was it any good? I've been trying to watch it but the ITV player doesn't work here, and can't find it on TPB yet!

If you're referring to ITV4's "Superbikes - When Britain ruled the world" (or some similar daft title), I watched it this week. It was quite entertaining, with some funny interviews with Foggy and Whitham, but not a lot of factual material about the racing or bikes. Worth a look, but a bit superficial.

Ditto, actually didn't mind Foggy as much as in the past, Whitham was his usual likeable self... really wish that guy could have had a fair shake. Don't think he would have been a WSC Champ or multiple one anyway but definitely up there.

Isn't anything posted here that isn't factual opinion-based?

You believe Crutchlow will run with the front, I don't. Yes I've watched MGP since mid-80s when it really mattered; none of that matters whatsoever since all opinions have the same weight. But I am quite willing to bet that in no way shape or form will Crutchlow ever win a world title in MGP. He is an incredible talent but he is no Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa or Lorenzo or Marquez and unfortunately - and I mean that sincerely - he will not be in contention against the Aliens. If you want to have a friendly wager let me know.

Ok .. change of thread .. Lets just say that we are all on the same page that we want to see Rossi win on a Ducati !!!!

In my PERSONAL opinion I thought Carl Fogarty did well with Ducati, I trust that Rossi manages to match or exceed Foggy's record.

BTW - My data points concerning Foggy come from his performances with Ducati and SuperBike and this source : Carl Fogarty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Whom ever authored this article recognizes Foggy as the greatest of all time (SuperBike). Maybe I should of just entered "super bike" to avoid all the arsehole comments.

Oh and I have many friends from Ohio and I get out plenty on my Panigale.

See you at MotoGP .. PEACE.

Ha good opinion like a bit of a wager, I see where you are coming from but unfortunately the old Brit in me is swaying my opinion towards the fact that he will win one in maybe 2 years maybe 3. I know what you are saying re the aliens, but even they have noticed him becoming a threat, and let's face it, it's been the best Brit talent in Moto GP for a while, and it's only his 2nd year and look how well he has done, well I rephrase that, look how fast he is, as he's not actually even got a podium yet, but considering he's not come through the classes in Moto GP and only his second go at some of the tracks, I personally think he will be a force to be worried about, after all look at the true grit after his injury, at where he came... Can't deny that...?

Did you see whithams eyes they looked even closer together than normal...?!

Also why did it matter more in the 80s Surely it matters just as much today here and now...? Or am I missing a trick there?

And seeing as tho Ducati have already offered a two year deal for Crutchlow maybe we should take more of an interest in him? Although personally I really hope he doesn't take it and gets a Yamaha factory deal. Because quite frankly the Ducati is up to much, let's face it, and I actually hate seeing Rossi on it, because it just doesn't work, doesn't suit his way of doing things. Maybe Cal would do better on it because of his tidy style, and before anyone has a crack at that comment, I'm not saying he's better than Rossi, read what I actually wrote...
