I am amazed that people who buy bikes on the level of the Panigale does not know how to operate a quick shifter.

i turned off the DQS up/down for my break-in period... but i still shift like i have DQS turned on...

I would only use the Ducati boots but change them after 150 miles, they may get too dirty.

Make sure you keep the quick shifter fluid topped up too...your tool kit should contain a little bottle of it, call your dealer for replacement fluid when you run out. You'll go through it pretty quick if you quick shift all the time.

Only the 1199 came with the DQS fluid. 1299 owners need to buy it separately.

Good point . I replaced my fluid with a full synthetic for quicker shift time .

Should I use specifically Shell or is Motul ok?

I read on google that Vavoline will do the same thing, I have use Rotella before. I might try spermicide.
