Quick shifter

Hi, what adapter you are referring to?

i fear I need to take off my fairing to check...can you have provide some references?

Well I installed my translogic on Saturday and forgot to take the wiring adapter off the end of it for my GP shift so it didn't work at all. Simple fix and should have read the instructions. [emoji20]. Just remember if you run the GP shift take the the little wiring extension off the quick shifter.

Anyway it felt much better on my first session at the track yesterday and then my second session I had sporadic trouble shifting up trough the gears. Then the next session coming into 2 at eastern creek which is tight from high speed things went haywire with lights flashing on the dash and no gear position indicator and no auotblip so pulled the clutch ran wide and pulled off track. Rode back to the pits after the session and assumed the gear position sensor crapped out and I could ride without the DQS so for the rest of the day. Riding with no DQS sounds easy but after riding in anger with a quick shifter you lose the skill of manual shifting with no clutch. It came back after a few sessions so not too bad but man I am pissed and disappointed with this bike.

So now it seems I need a gear position sensor.

There is a little wiring adapter that comes with the translogic QS and if you are running GP shift you need to remove it or it will not work.

It is only a few cm long and just changes the wiring configuration from normal to GP shift.

I think I saw it , didn’t think anything of it, let me go take my fairing off and take some pictures for people reference this mod.

( I don’t remember seeing that on installation instruction!?! Weird...)

Strange thing...adapter is on but my GP shift works well.

The instruction manual seems say in GP shift the adapter is need to connected?

Did you had regular shift?

....! Sorry for the bum steer everybody. I do have a GP reverse shift and must have left it off at first and then put it on.
Could have sworn it was the other way round. Oh well sorry again.

I’m the one owes you an apology

The test I did was not under load

So it worked standing still.

When I pull out today for test ride. It didn’t work. As you spoke of. I unplugged the extension you spoke of and having bike half make for test ride, it worked so well!!!

Here is the extension for reference

So... How much of a difference did the new quick shifter make over stock? Have you got the DQS Evo 2 software update?

For me it’s completely different

1~2 meh...

The rest is so precise and I rode a 2017 BMW HP4R (track /Race) and thats a very similar feel back.

Like every said great track feel, now I know why.

I might do EVO 2 update , after my test on track

I'm still on the fence about upgrading. It's a pity it's not possible to adjust the ignition cut out time to see if it is the quick shifter sensor or the ignition cut out duration that is the issue.

If it cuts out for too long I would have thought that is a software fix as the stock shifter can sense change of gear shift fine.

I now have done both and the translogic did make a difference but the evo2 update made the biggest difference from what I have been able to tell so far. Have not had it at the track for a full wind up but a spirited street ride tells me it is fast and snappy the way it should have been from day 1. My tip o QS was awesome and it reminds me of that now.

The cut time is way too long and bloody Ducati should have brought out a free DQS update for everyone.

I wonder how the EVO2 software would interact with the oem quickshifter. I received a Cordona quickshifter for Christmas but I am thinking of having the EVO2 software installed first then testing the oem shifter. If not enough. I can always install the Cordona at a later time.

Took her out today, it was very exciting. The shift worked well in the beginning . However the first gear still seems a little lag

After warmed up ; the rear nut (#10 on the picture)to the end joint got loose. I didn’t have any tools around me; so I let it dangle home and I feel the shifting is not very consistent. Sometime delays and sometime ok in the high gears. Higher speedy, for sure no issue and no lags.

I’m really curious just a SW update what can do to OEM shift.

I want to be able to downshift even with crack throttle, does EVO2 do that?
