Does anyone know which plug is for the tail light so that I don't get the check engine light? Where does it go? I doesn't match the tai light plug under the tail section or the plug under the subframe. Thanks in advance.

I talked to Nathan and he said he will send out an inquiry to Ducati. He hasn't fitted one yet. I thought it would be obvious, but nothing is obvious with this bike. It would have been nice if there were some instructions with it.

Pretty sure the big one is headlight...
White one is small and looks to plug into tail light..
The other one must be kickstand switch just follow the wore for the kickstand

Pretty simple once u take the bike apart all three connectors are very different can't mess up

I would have thought the right one would be for the fan, the middle one looks like it's for the tail. The left one who knows...lol

I'm pretty sure it's the one at the top, I just unplugged it couple of days ago.

You don't have the tailight plug in the photo. Those are the ignition bypass (big white) radiator fan (black) and sidestand.

That's the kit that comes with the track fairings, you need the kit from the racing tail.

Brake switch

Thanks Jarel. Guys remove the grey wire and the check engine light is gone. I tried to trace the rear and it goes behind the ecu panel, which I don't feel like removing. I don't use the rear anyway.

What do these wires go to? BTW they're both grey.

My tech said the lights shouldn't throw a check engine light. Is it the brake light that is doing it?

Also the triangle plug is for the kick stand.

Thamer, one was grey and one was brown. They both go to the ecu, but they have in-line connectors before they go into the ecu. I disconnected the grey wire which is the wire coming off the front brake lever at the in-line connector. I disconnected it and I don't get a check engine light any longer. Jarel told me to do this. I tried tracing the rear wire but it goes behind the plastic thing that holds the ecu to the bike and I didn't feel like tracing that one. Just disconnect the one coming off the front brake lever. If you use the rear brake, you will have to trace that one as well.

If you unplug the tail light unit to install a race tail, when you hit the brakes the brake light switch will cause a "Brake Light" error to come up on the dash. If you disconnect the brake light switch, the ECU will never know that you're hitting the brakes and it will not throw the error. Both front and rear have switches on them, just trace it back to where it plugs into the wiring harness and unplug it and you'll never have the problem.

Hey Jarel,

Thanks for the help. Just wondering, is there any way to clear the service light? My ducati dealer is closed for another month and I'm wondering if leaving that will also prompt a check engine light?

Thanks.
