Radiator guards

Aaaand how much hotter are your bikes running now? Not an issue in winter but keep an eye on the temps during the summer when its hot.

That's nothing compared to the Cox install. You have to remove the fairings, front wheel, windscreen, grips, forks, gas tank, seat, rear wheel, rear subframe, unmount the tires from the wheels, seat, tail tidy, license plate, turn signals, stickers, clear coat, wiring harness, charcoal canister, radiators, timing chain, valve covers, valves, and I think maybe the pegs too. Then you bolt them on and put it all back together. It's a wonderful way to get to know your bike and it only takes a day or two.

Yeah, there's something about chicken wire spray painted black that just looks so..... "factory".

lol ;)

I'm getting the feeling that Capt CF doesn't like the Cox guards. :D

Installed the R and G guards today. 5 hours! Worth it because I think they are the best looking. Looks factory! Very satisfied and will like them more once my back stops killing me

lol...there's one born every minute! "factory" lol again.

Going with the Evotech. Managed to tame my OCD and go the simpler/cheaper route because no one else will ever notice the difference between Evotech and R&G since I don't plan on entering my bike in a Concours d'Elegance.

Agree with Antihero that holing a radiator/cooler is a crapshoot, but I've ended up on the wrong side of that stance twice in 20 years so my perspective is that it's worthwhile insurance, especially on a Ducati whose radiator costs as much as wheels for Jap bikes.

What is the difference? I have R&G on my BMW and Evotech on the Pani and I don't see how the R&G is any more "factory" or better looking than the Evotech. The R&G is basically black chickenwire and the Evotech is some kind of stamped metal, but IMHO they both look fine. Do people really think the Evotech look bad and the black chickenwire looks better? If so, I guess I get it, but I wouldn't spend that kind of time unless the Evotech really looked like .... and, IMHO, they actually look a bit better than the chickenwire variety so that's why I can't keep from nosing into these rad guard threads. :)

No brackets at all are visable with the RG. Evo shows mounting tabs. Enough for me to spend tv extra time

It's all personal preference. For me and many others, I'd rather save the 4 hours and 50 minutes and do something else with my life and go with the only guards that are actually endorsed by the "factory". I'm ok with the tabs that I will never see unless I bend down and look for them :) But like I said, if it makes you happy, then it's worth it for you, and that's what's important (me and captcf and others just won't understand that point of view... lol).
