Rearset Recommendations

This weekend while riding, i hit a false neutral a few times (shifting from 4th to 5th). Bike is a V4R with factory resets, but reversed the shift pattern.

I am wondering if it was me, not pushing all the way down on the quickshifter and it went neutral, or if i get new resets this will be corrected.

Note, on my 1199, i had sato aftermarket resets and never had this issue

I have a V4S and I have hit a few times “neutral” between 5th and 6th. I don’t think the rear sets have any influence on this. The new Honda’s have false neutrals between every gear. This is more a gearbox issue to me.

Just ordered the Attack Performance rear sets via sportbiketrackgear!
Very friendly and helpful staff! Very fast communication as well. Love it !

Waiting for the new goodies!!

It's interesting that both R and S is having same issue (dry and wet). Maybe its rearset. Not sure but trying new rearset may be worth it.

yes STG people are great. One of the best.

Try Giamoto in the UK, they make a couple of options for the V4. Excellent quality. I wil try and post up a pic or two (another UK riders pics not mine).

Here you go.

The SATO versions in Gold Anodized just don't seem to match the other gold on the bike. I had their frame crash guards on my 1199S, and it always stuck out as different.

I am gonna go with the Attack Racing rearsets as they seem to have more adjustability and the price at $800 from STG is way better than any other vendor at the moment.

Would be nice to have the standard brake switches bolt up - the pressure operated switches sometimes are a bit dodgy.

For the V4R owners - the mountings also need to clear that additional locking bolt.

I have been running Giamoto on my Aprilia for close to 2 years now. In my view their stuff is the ultimate in precision, lack of play , craftsmanship and beauty. They took well over a year to come out with these, as I have been waiting.

And I've tried quite a few brands in the past. For example DPs that I've been running for a year on my V4S (the only thing available at the time) do not even come close in any of the mentioned things.

I am a bit puzzled through by their decision on the adjustability of foot peg positions. Aprilia was more like Attack. After messing with DPs for some time I know that I want 10 mm back and 10 mm up and they do not offer anything close to that. 29 mm up position is just ridiculous IMO, unless you are Danny Pedroza maybe..

So, I am not so sure about them for this reason..

Do other manufacturers have a diagram like this?

It is nice to know the stock position, to do adjustments from there

They look great, how are you liking them?

Do you have a pic from the shift lever side?

Where did you get them from?

Delivery of the v4r just started here so I only picked the bike up last week from the dealer and brought it straight to the dyno guy for a break in since its a track bike that isn't allowed on public road. He installed the rearsets and sent me this pic since I don't have the time befor the upcoming trackday. So I haven't seen them irl nor tried them. Will pick the bike up later this week and will post a photo from the shift lever side.

I ordered them from a local dealer (the Netherlands) so that is probably not an option for you. But you could order them from the manufacturer (https://www.spiderracing.it/).
