If you want to keep the warranty intact, then yes.

And what you may have "heard" may not be factually correct. Rather than rely on rumor, you should call a dealer and ask them. And you would be wise to call several and get some estimates.

I'm at 14.5k and have gotten estimates of 1k-1.5k from dealer depending on whether the valves need adjusting.

Going to get another ride or two in before cold weather gets here and then off to the dealer...

My dealer budgets 14 hours labour for the 15,000-mile service plus parts. This translates into $1,200 plus the cost of parts. As noted above, the budgeted time may be more or less, depending on the amount of work required with the valves, although the current estimate includes time allocated for this.

Should be same as a 600 mile service. $300 tops is my guess. I think its just an oil change and checking bolts n things like that.

7500 mile service I paid $66.25.

$26.25 for 3.5 quarts of Castrol Race oil, and $40 for a ducati oil filter, gaskets and crush washer. I save my receipts should any warranty issue ever occur in the future and should Ducati request 'proof' of service.

I can change my own oil and check my own bolts. Unless you enjoy flushing your money down the toilet I see no reason to pay $300-$400 for a glorified oil change.

.....yes I'm cheap. I'm even more frugal when it comes to parts/service.

HAHAHAHA and i though i was the only one being cheap. 1st off i really dont have the time and 2nd i'm going to have to talk down to the guy who told me $500-$600, that jerk is going to get his own jerking!!
