Don't get me wrong, love my S and bought it specifically for the eSuspension, but in all reality I didn't know enough about suspensions then, buy now is a different story. Now that I know, I don't need the eSusp. It makes it easy to adjust compression and dampening, and you don't have to guess what your last setting was. What you may want to adjust is the preload, which is still manual on the eSusp.
Go buy a motool and a notebook to record your last settings. In the end you may want a stable softer setup and a firm but stable setup. Then watch the Dave Moss video on how and why you need a motool. TBH you need it even if you have the eSusp.
When you learn enough you may want to buy a new rear shock that uses a socket to adjust the preload instead of retrofitting eSusp.
Of course, the eSusp does a little more like stiffen on accel.
