I rest assure you guys, James is good people, on and off his R1. The circumstances involving this accident could have happened to anyone of us, kinda like Don's mishap. I was up at EuroCycles today to demo '14 S1000R and RRs, owner of the dealership went with me. Even though he encouraged me to go and ride on my own, I don't feel comfortable unless it is a service loaner bike.

Guy was in the hospital for only a day and is released and well now. Supposedly is an experienced rider, had ridden to Eurocycles that day and has full coverage on his own bike. The 899 is totaled
i talked to Vern and Leanne last night at Quaker and she said he's ok. They know him pretty well. story not clear on what happened but thankfully he came out ok. Seems the more and more crashes/fatalities that happen around here the less My group wants to ride. A lot of people are getting spooked. Been a few deaths in pasco on SR 54.

Yes he's very experienced. Great guy. I ride with him all the time. I will not go into specifics. He was found unconscious face down in a ditch not too far from the dealer. He had a mild concussion and a broken nose split lip. And bumps bruises. Nothing real serious. Stayed overnight in the hospital. And home now.

Never know with a concussion. I had a van sideswipe me on my bicycle and was unconscious for maybe 10 seconds top. Taken to the hospital, test ran and released. One hour latter I seemed fine but had trouble in meetings for over two months afterwards. Was in my early 50s at the time.

There is a great group down that way Sunshine. I just left the area. We got out early before the squids were even awake, and headed North. Several of the people on here including Castor Troy, Evol, Kevin1199, Triumph675 and DYL-Jim are good people to ride with in the area. No stunts, just good people.:)

Actually The guy that went down on the pani is a very experienced rider. He's a good friend on my buddy Sonik. He said he didn't know what the hell happen that day. He rides an R1. I met up with him just the other day for a ride to manx. My buddy sonik on the boba fett 675 is a great guy to ride with. Safety all the way. Next time you guys are out and about throw a post up or pm me. I love going out riding though it's manly solo rides.

Obviously left his brain off that day - and yes it does happen to the best of us, distraction - day-dreaming buzzing out on the feeling of that bike (R1 and Duc very differnt :) )can make you misjudge ... still looked like a silly mistake to me though

Kevin is out. Logan is track only. Myself, I refuse to ride with anyone nowadays.

Cagers are nuts in Fl. I'd blame them for pulling out, then hit&run, unless theres a curb or tree with some red paint on it, or some sand with a stripe after it.

Shame about the concussion. I know a couple people that got one of those in an accident. Didn't remember the accident at all.

When I was in Florida. The owners insurace covers it. If you purposely Tbone a BMW M5, the M5 owner is responsible for thier car, and bike rider is responsible for thiers.

It's easier on everyone.
-Cops don't have to investigate (much, as if they were capable of such anyways) They can assume an accident is an accident rather than tie up traffic trying to place blame. (which they absolutely stink at)
-And you aren't forced to insure a hoopty. You can write it off and buy another hoopty
-and if you do have a hoopty that your insurance co makes only $100 off of every year, they're not on the hook for a wrecked Bugatti.

I'm sure the dealer is cool and will just make a claim with thier insurance. They are insured for this, and they did sell a bike. If they do bitch, then they kinda need called out on it. Maybe the bike was just plain broken? Demo bikes are often FUBAR. Or repaired lemons.

I wish Ohio insurance was like that. In the Peoples Socialist Replublic of Ohio, we're forced to have liability insurance. Or we get the chair.

I rode my new 1199 with these guys the day after I bought it home. It was a fun fast day. But like Logon. I'm track only for now. The track is way more fun than worrying about cars and ..... I hope my girl falls in love with the track so we can keep the bikes track only.

Too much coincidence to pass up. A thread about NM which is my home state. Miss those mountains sometimes. Another thread about Tampa area which is my current area. I try to ride in the surrounding areas every Sunday.
