Rossi rips Ducati Stoner defends

They both should just stop talking. Especially if the words out of their mouths are going to be so transparently about feeding their ego and making excuses. It's amazing to me how often professional athletes make themselves look foolish in the media. You'd think they'd learn, or atleast their PR person would.

On another note, those articles are pretty badly written and sensationalized. Almost tabloid-like.

Stoner has proven himself as one of the best riders in the world. (if not the best)
He can say whatever he wants.
He can win on any bike. Rossi can't say that

Just to speed things up a bit:

Someone will respond with how many championships Rossi has won, someone else about Rossi having access to thee best bikes, someone about Stoner not succeeding with earlier bikes. Several pages of more discussion which will descend into personal attacks on the posters and then the thread will move into a heat issue, someone will post photos of people in rubber suits, the best colour Pani will raise its head as will matt or gloss carbon and what seat / exhaust combi everyone has, fuel and/or oil consumption will make an appearance and eventually the thread will be closed.

Phew, that has saved some bandwidth. Move on now, nothing to see here.

I won't point out that Rossi's times were pretty much the same as Stoner's in his first year on the Ducati while Honda and Yamaha were miles faster than they had been the previous year. Or that De Puniet was 40-50 seconds a race slower on the Pramac heap the year after he left Honda. That would get in the way of a good 'I'm a Stoner fanboy so Rossi is completely useless' thread
Continue :D
I never understand why people get so invested in somebody that they become angry towards other people and seem to have a vendetta to prove they suck?
I liked Stoner as a rider but his personality sucked as he just moaned his way through what is an amazing life and seemed to do nothing ever but whine. Rossi might be slower but at least he doesnt come across as a miserable .... the whole time!

Not to get in Rossi vs Stoner agrument but I thought it was interesting to read Rossi's comment about the Japanese tech vs Italian tech.

(Without knowing the truth of course)
I can see this purely on the Japanese culture of how they take the pointers to make it better and etc. (I've lived/worked in Japan for 3 years)
