CF swing arm?

Just a cover is my guess.

Yeah, much better. Moral of the story: It sounds awesome.

I'd be curious to know the DB output at WOT. Most racing clubs and a handful of tracks have DB limits.

No way in hell this is passing if theres any db limit.

You owe us a better vid for sure. Any exhaust is going to sound crazy in a closed garage lol

It would be great to have some videos about the exhaust sound :) ! If some owners can do some of their exhaust... Would be much appreciated :) ! It will help me wait the two weeks of production for my exhaust hehe

Ok guys, so i now have the S1 exhaust installed on my bike, first thing i can say is that absolutely no videos i have found on internet does reproduce the sound it has in real life.

The sound is moto gp like, definitely a racing sound, it does not have that "low frequency" bass sound as the akrapovic or even stock exhaust, it's more like an agressive growl, resonating in the whole system.

It definitely is loud, but it's not incredibly loud when you're riding it, it must be for the others, following you or next to you though. My only complaint about this exhaust is that there is no way to put a DB Killer inside of it, to make it "law compliant". I have found a guy making db killers for this exhaust, i have ordered one and will have to drill a hole and make it fit, we'll see how it goes.

Without an upmap installed, the bike doesn't run smooth at low rpm, and i definitely can feel a big loss of torque down in the low rpm, i will install the Akrapovic headers and the Akrapovic Upmap for the full system, i will let you guys know about it later.

I saw this exhaust on a 1299s yesterday
Looks awesome better than in pictures and the sound is insane really motogp :) I loved it I just wonder how loud it is to the rider.
Don't they come with db killer?
Do you guys needed to do a instantly remap?

They don't come with a DB Killer, but i have bought one from a guy who makes custom db killers. The sound is insane yes and absolutely beautiful for those who like agressive sounds.

I personally did want to keep my bike under warranty, so i have bought the akrapovic full system map, because the exhaust really does change the way the engine delivers the torque and power, i would say it is really needed.

I think the ECU flash remains the best option to get the best of this exhaust, but it is totally usable without it, the engine now is less reactive at low and mid RPM, but pulls incredibly hard in high rpm's, i think the diameter of the silencer (70mm) and the shape of the exhaust system do kill some low torque in order to get more power higher in the rpm.

About carbon fiber parts, i only use Ducati parts, pretty happy about it, all are great quality, with good fitting. Not sure about their resistance to breaking though...

Have just spent all weekend on track in Spain and one of the guys there had an SC exhaust on. Completely agree with the statement that it sounds like a MotoGP bike but for me that is simply too much for track, let alone street unless you have very understanding track noise Limits and/or police people (gender equality!).

That said, it did look good in the flesh and maybe with some custom Db killers in it would work better to give the richer v-twin sound. This would get no way near a track in the UK.

The problem of not having db killer is the periodical inspection it would require me to remove and install the oem exhaust once per year to do the inspection..

You'll have to excuse/ignore the content of the video (not mine), but at 3:25, this clip shows a CR-T model fit to a 1299. I think this more accurately represents the sound you get from the SC projects.

Phil, I've been banging around about picking this one up. My only concern was the mapping after installation. I also am attracted by the price/sound/simplicity of SC Project exhausts. My assumption was that a full RapidBike Race module + 2x canbus modules would be needed, which adds roughly $1400ish to the cost.

I'm curious what just the upmap costs and how it performed? Would be nice to see AFRs after it was installed with upmap across the range.

I bought the Akrapovic header to get the map, then put the headers for sale at my dealership.

To me the sc projects is :

-The feeling that you're on a moto GP everytime you're riding your bike, the quickshifter makes HUGE and violent explosions everytime you use it at a certain range.

-As soon as you start your bike, you'll get everyone's attention, some people admirating your bike, some hating on you, but you can be sure that nobody will think "hey, just another ducati".

-When you're riding it, the cars, the motorcycles, pretty much everyone moves away from your road to let you pass them, the sound really is impressive and almost scary (already scared many people without any intention to do so).

-The weight savings are huge, the whole system is under 2kg (4.4 lbs), you can feel it when you're riding it.

Now the problems

-Riding a 1299 isn't very "discreet", but riding a 1299 that makes such an incredible sound will get you everyone's attention, this can make you feel uneasy (sometimes it does). Including the cops attention ;) !

-The high amount of decibels can be tiring on highway, the bike sounds less "deep" than with a stock system or Akrapovic (can be a good point ?)

- The bike loses quite a lot of torque in the down rpm range. But again, i have the akrapovic map. But instead, the high rpm range feels like pulling a lot stronger than stock.

I think that you may want to define your profile, do you use your bike everyday and do you want to do it comfortably without making too much noise ? If yes, don't go with the SC Project S1.

If you're willing to experience intense adrenaline everytime you're using your bike, definitely go for it.
