Had my first service done today on my tricolore and I must say that it didn't take to long, but I paid 368.00 bucks....did I pay to much? And asked about getting my termi's put on and he said that that about 700.00, I know I can put the pipes on myself but he said I still would have to bring it back to get tuned...is this true!

Costs vary depending upon location and competition. So those could be competitive or overpriced but don't sound outrageous.

The last statement is patently false. The Termignoni slip on and full exhaust come with an Up-Map that is very simple to load by yourself. What they told you raises a red flag to me but YMMV.

I'd ask another dealer for quotes if possible.

Forgot to say that the OEM filter costs around $40 from a typical dealer, and depending upon choice of oil you could be paying $15 or more per quart. That is $100 is parts alone there. What is the dealer labor rate? The first service is basically an oil change plus torque checks on critical bolts and once over on major systems. You could easily be at mid $300s, with oil change and couple hours of labor.

Thanks for the info and money is not the issue just don't want to get juiced on the price. I do have my slip on's and the up map chip That ........... tried to get me...lol

I was quoted 450 for my first service and paid about 350 because they got done early. I was told the increase in price was because of Audi handing down some tighter rules on procedures. That was from AMS in Dallas. They have always been honest.

$40 for oil filter gaskets and crush washer on ebay.
$35 for oil on amazon.com

$75 for first service. don't be scared about that ........ warranty speech your dealer will try on you. Save your receipts. If they want to deny a future warranty claim they'll have to prove you doing your oil change caused the issue- won't happen.

$700 to do your pipes? Better idea- I'll drive down to DC from NJ, you pay my gas, buy me a 6-pack and give me $100. 60%+ savings. $700. Thats insane.

$400 oil change. yep. okay.

.........

oil change takes 10 minutes in their shop once the bike is lifted. they hand tighten a few bolts too (if they follow the warranty booklet directions).

I took the money I was going to spend on my first oil change, bought the .... to do it myself along with a Tuneboy setup.

I already have a torque wrench. ;)

White13, I do think its ........ they charge $90 per hour on labor and it does seem like they took their time. The good thing for me is by the time I hit 7500 miles the warranty will be expired anyway.

LMAO... gas is pretty cheap too and hell a six pack that i'm going to help you drink sounds like a good deal. I going to do it myself, it's getting cold anyway
