What's the deal with the fluctuating costs of this first service? Ducati flat rates should all be the same right? My dealer quoted me 2hrs parts and labor about $275.

just done with mine
$180 labor
$120 parts

bike is now in "P" - much softer ride but felt kinda sluggish

oil change is EZ! cost is in the oil (what ever you choose) 4qts = $40-50 for GOOD oil and a filter/orings about 40$.

your effort i put in a thread on oil change. it was about 40 minutes start to finish as i had to hunt for allen to remove lower panel. rest gravy. dont be afraid of this. with this first service adjust the chain too..

my shop plugged me in and reset dash while i waited (10 minutes). NO CHARGE!!! (Ducati Seattle :) )

dont be afraid of these if you have any mechanical skilzzzz

DONT BE THAT GEICO MONEY GUY!!!

I hate to say I've turned away business, but for the Panigale's first service I've referred two customers back to the dealer (in lieu of my business, Desert Desmo). I wanted to make sure that with the huge number of early updates and fuel curve changes that they would have the latest software installed. Besides, our prices are only a little under our local dealer for the first service. We don't have access to those software files.

I have the equipment to reset the service message and the mechanical part is very straightforward. The 7500 mile service is for sure gonna get done by me....and I'm happy to service yours, too! ;)
