I hate getting attitude when I tell the dealer I don't want to buy the oil from them and to use something different.

yup it is great for diesels, also the good thing about the T6, 5W-40 is it is JASO MA compliant.

(JASO MA = Japanese standard for special oil which can be used in 4-stroke motorcycle engine with one oil system for engine, gearbox and wet clutch system. Fluid is non-friction modified.)

most walyworlds have it for around $27 a gallon.

Would you swear by this? I am all for bucking the trend IF it makes sense.

The filter itself is $33 or so, so $50 is not too bad considering the unmounting of fairings etc.

Uh, that was just parts. It was included in the 1.8, now a 2.0, hour first service for $200. (my filter was $36, but he said a new style compared to the spin-ons of previous models).

They're going to use 15-50 Motul which is ok with me. I will make the switch after this. They were kind of ........ He made me show him the filter I bought was a Ducati part. You're right because a K&N, which isn't out , would suck! ROLLING MY EYES!!!!
