what i hear is DUNLOP have great grip during all the life and the tire

Pirelli better for all out grip, but shorter life

Bridgestone good grip, good price, but don’t last long

and havent heard much from michelin lately

A lot of this basic info about the tire is available online from the manufacturer. Designated condition and ambient temp usage. Grip vs longevity charts. Pressure recommendations. Tire dimensions. This will give you a pretty good baseline to choose compounds. You will probably end up using a lot of tires over the next while if you are planning to track so try the different compounds to see for yourself. If you can make friends with the trackside tire guys that helps a bunch

For which tire to choose, in US it seems most lap records are being broken and set on pirellis and at my local club the guys winning exp championship classes are running pirelli. Dunlops are great too as proven by MotoAmerica. Seems in Europe the bridgestone v02 and pirellis are most favored. Not heard much or seen much buzz about the michelins. They have their Power slick 2 but that only comes in a single compound. The DOT treaded variant is the Power Cup 2 and is the same compound as the slick They do have a higher end race slick with multiple compounds available but not seen much about them.
 
I back to back tested Pirelli, Dunlop and Bridgestone slicks at Jerez over four days.

The fronts were remarkably similar in feel (probably the biggest surprise).

The rears are all different heights, so you need to use a ride height tool to adjust for this, to keep bike geometry the same.

The Dunlop had the least 'feel', and probably the most ultimate grip. But takes longer to build the trust.

The Pirelli and Bridgestone felt very similar, slightly more 'feel' from the Pirelli.

I was quickest on the Pirelli, by a tenth.

The Bridgestone (V02 soft) and Dunlop (NTEC soft) lasted me two days, and their performance was very consistent. Performance dropped by maybe one or two tenths.

The Pirelli rear (SC1) lasted half a day, with a noticeable drop in performance (approx half a second) after five or six laps. Near the end of the half day, the tyre was spinning everywhere. Fun, but slow.

If I had a big tyre budget, and really enjoyed swapping tyres, I would buy the Pirelli.

I use a Pirelli front (SC1) and Bridgestone rear (V02 soft).
 
I use SC1 in the front and SC2 in the back. Works good for me in Southern California weather conditions. Life depends on the track. A couple tracks around here the rear will be destroyed on one side by half day.

You would think so, logically. But take an SC1 rear with you too, compare them, the results may surprise you. I found the SC1 lasted about 30% longer than the SC2.

It's almost like, Pirelli know most people will buy the SC2, so they make it wear out quicker, so you buy more. Then, they sponsor more championships worldwide with their increased income, selling more tyres that don't last anywhere near the competition
 
it seems to me, to get the most out of of the rear SCs , temperature; pressure; and suspension is important. and turn it every stint ;)
i found the V02soft more forgiving. i like that.
and i got more feeling but that's maybe because of lower pressure.
