SLR Handheld ECU Flash

he also mention the stock map is limited to 45 percent power at 1 2nd and 3rd gear which is crazy for me. I want full power and the SLR flashed gave me the full power

I’m also interested in this product. Seems a bargain compared to the Bren. Always good to have choices.

Anyone else running this?

jcnaranjo51...is this with stock exhaust or are you running an aftermarket?

I have a 2020 v4s I bought arrow exhaust was running rough quickshifter was slow than I bought the upmap t800 from motomillion and I didn't notice a difference more or less the same I contacted motomillion they didn't know anything they swear the up map is best thing he just sounds like a retailer someone that sales parts and after I found Slr tunning and things got better called Frank and he explained to me how it works the v4 2020 is limited now we were understanding each other so I bought the handheld tool and you know the rest of the story now I'm extremely happy with my bike so much more fun I have power on the low rpm range love it

I received my handheld device a couple of weeks ago. So far so good. Plugged it into my laptop and downloaded the software, and it updated the device.
Then I plugged it into the bike (I had Up-Map T800 map, which I flashed back to stock first), and it read my ECU.
The ECU file was then emailed back to SLR.
A couple of days later, SLR sent me three new maps, plus the stock map.
I've got 10% quicker throttle (quick action throttle), reduced engine braking, and new fuelling for my exhaust (canned tune)
Then the same map again, but reduced fuelling for a baffled setup.
Then the first map again, but raised rev limits in every gear (16,500). Not sure I'll use this one, but it's there.

And I've booked a dyno in a couple of weeks to compare back to back.

SLR - 210bhp at the wheel.

Frank was really helpful throughout. I sent him my dyno graph and he adjusted the map for my bike from the AFR map and has sent them back. So, perhaps a bit more to come, but it's not easy to get back to the dyno!

The Up-Map app/software is a bit more modern to use. It's an app on the phone, shows fault codes clearly and easy to erase them. But, you have their map and nothing else.

Obviously the SLR map gives more power, and Frank can tailor it for you. He also will do full custom maps, which is very good. The handheld device is a bit clunky and old fashioned, but it does the job and also clears fault codes, I'm not sure if it reads them easily.

The advantage over, say the Akra map or Woolwich, is you have a device that can change maps and clear/read fault codes trackside. So, handy for when your bike ..... itself, which they will :D

I'm hoping to test ride the maps back to back next month. It won't be 100% like for like, as the SLR map adds q/a throttle and less engine braking.

Don't get me wrong, the gains are decent, but q good amount of the difference is coming from the stock map shutting down earlier. Stock map was still gaining when shut down.

This is excellent info, great comparison, and gives a good indication of the effectiveness of the SLR tune.

What exhaust was this on?

Ignore that above comment. I had quickly glanced at one of the graphs and not all 3. They all seem to be revving about the same. There is something funky that goes on right at the top of the 210hp pull. You should not have that kind of dip.

Yeah, Frank from SLR has sent me new maps which will resolve that 'blip', and potentially give me a bit more on top. This is an advantage of SLR, he can tweak his canned map for your bike. He's been very helpful.
