does any one still have smoke from their exhaust after its been broken in? just picked mine up last week and I've read too much about this problem and wondering if it goes away or part of the bike

When I start mine I still get some smoke for a few seconds, once the bike starts to warm up it goes away completely.

What is the year and the production date of the bike you purchased?

I haven't rode my bike much and the smoke is barely noticeable not like the videos i watch on YouTube. My bike has 1199 miles('',)

I'm approaching 2000 and I'll still get smoke at start up. Not as bad before, but still there. Of course minimized as you should NOT rev the engine and let it idle for 30 seconds to a minute then get on it. And many of the miles I've put on are slow ass winter miles so probably taking a bit longer than normal to get everything set. I'm not worried about it.

I never had a smoke issue for 8 months. Until last weekend, I filled up at a 76 station. I normally use shell or chevron. The bike smoked at startup when cold (everytime) but went away after it got warm. I ran the bike until empty and filled it up with Shell and the smoke went away even when cold. I'm wondering if it's the type of additives they put in the gas that the Pani doesnt like.

Mine smoked a little when new, and as I hit 300 miles I started to ride it much harder and did so up until 621 mile service. It doesnt smoke at all now. You need to run it in harder to seat the rings.

Thats a fantastic website for someone who is just getting into the concept of breaking a motor in.
