Some track day prep questions

who did you use for instruction one of the NL guys....Glynn?

I didn't have any this time. I thought I would do it on the second day but didn't as concentration was already shot. Obviously I wish I'd done it on the first day considering how things went, but I wanted to work on some things myself and then get tuition and see if it was getting anywhere close.

I stayed at the Grid Hotel - it's convenient to simply walk a couple of minutes to the garage. Don't forget that I live in Prague so I only need the event and not a hotel, transport, etc. I'll check that place out some time when I'm visiting friends that live in Brno.

They really do make some lovely stuff. Very pleased with the stands and now all I need to do is figure out how to fit this bit.

Beautifully made stuff.

Oh, and I’ve got the AiM ECU-L data logger working… the GPS unit was not being detected. I got in touch with support, told them I had it connected to the logger and the logger connected to my laptop and they went through a load of diagnostics and support but couldn’t get it to work. I got in touch with the supplier and they asked if it was connected to the bike because the GPS doesn’t work without 12V… no, it wasn’t and nobody told me that was necessary. All working absolutely fine and I’ll be very interested to see the data from this. The logger is tiny and will easily fit in the tail when the DDA GPS is removed. I’m tempted to relocate the GPS and keep it working so I have a lap timer on the screen. Not particularly important and it might be nicer to ignore that during each day and just see where I got to at the end of each day.
