I was doing my first oil change and as I was walking around the bike I bumped into the drivers side mirror.

Yep, snapped that ...... right off.

These things are really fragile....
The OEM Ducati one looks to be, well, expensive.
Is there anything aftermarket available?

I remember a thread about a rear view camera but my google fu sucks ....

At least I got the oil change done.....

i have one if u want it - used market value (?) - plug was cut off to use for Oberon Bar End Blinkers

Cmon Chris- you know Gunny has your six on this!

I've used his mirrors on last two Ducati Superbikes and sure enough they not only look sharp, but IMHO provide more rearward vision too.
They also come in a number of different styles for the Pani now too.There is thread here somewhere with pics of the style I chose and I also think he used my pics on his Facebook page or website..

Not even hard enough to leave a mark on my shoulder.
Honestly I was surprised how easily it snapped.
After looking at how thin the plastic is on the base, it really isn't that surprising.

Looking at pics online it looks like the 1299 mirrors might be different.
They sure mount in a different location than the 1199 mirrors.

If anyone knows if they are the same I'd appreciate it!
Otherwise I'll be calling a dealer Monday and getting one coming...
