I love it. But, I love an undertail exhaust and SC project has one coming for the V4...
The SC Project S1-GP exhaust is out for the V4. I took an order for one for a customer last week. The only thing is that the upper exhaust is on the right side of the rear tail so you just have to modify and tail tidy a little bit. Nothing hard, just drill a hole an extra hole in the tail tidy and move it a hair to the left. Although i think if you want to keep the tail tidy perfectly aligned then I would recommend the NRC tail tidy and do what I did to to it so it fit my 1299 with the Vandemon. Originally the tail license plate holder was on top of my exhaust cans about 1/8th of an inch away and both the right and left side were slightly over the cans. So I measured 3 1/2 inches forward. Drilled 2 new holes and now it fits perfect.

That exhaust is sweet looking, probably sounds the best out of all of them too.

as for the tail tidy, take it off and leave it off. What do u want it on there for to collect tickets and points?
the other option is to go vertical like my Harley dudes

when it comes to cars, the sounds they make have become less and less radical over the past few years. my opinion is that the V4 Akra exhaust in loud mode (no dB reducers) is like the old bikes with the dB killers in

it’s nice that companies like Spark, SC and a few others are giving us exciting exhaust options as opposed to, my opinion again, the Akra which is not exciting at all, especially for the $7K or so the dealership wants

Hello DucatiKev,

Since the title of your thread is "Spark exhaust, do you like the look?"

Then from my personal opinion, If I am buying a $10k exhaust (for looks), then I want it to look like an exhaust with finish (cosmetic quality) of a $10k exhaust,
and somehow, if I don't read it here that the Spark exhaust is a $10k exhaust, I would never guess it cost $10k from the picture.
The raw looks might excite you initially, but after a while, I think you will start seeing the raw looks as... "unfinished business"...
I mean that spark exhaust really looks like someone is working overnight in a race against time so the exhaust can be use for race in the morning..
It's functional but unfinished... and amazingly they ask for more money then other exhaust system out there.
To put it into perspective $10k is about 1/3 the price of a brand new 2020 V4S out the door... and I am sure it take much more than 3x the effort to build the entire V4S vs that Spark exhaust
or from another perspective, $10k is almost the price of the Akrapovic full system (including header) for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (model 991) Akrapovic Exhaust System for Porsche 991.2 GT3 & GT3RS - TAG Motorsports

Anyway, if I can get my wish, I am hoping Ducati/Akrapovic offer an undertail exhaust exactly like the system on the 1299 Panigale FE, although it did not look raw, but I think it have an everlasting beauty quality.
Especially from the angle like the pictures below. Even if this system is available for Panigale V4, I would not pay $10k for it...

greetings! You have a spectacular eye for quality and you’re absolutely right. It’s funny cause I used the comparison in price compared to a good exhaust for a Porsche. Those cars are beyond cool especially if they have an Akra exhaust installed!

let me clarify, I would not and am not spending that much on this exhaust period. I love the silencers or “muffler tips” from spark and I’d love to install them on the ends of the Akra headers. I was just excited to see a louder and more sleek option than the long Akra silencers

when I say that I like the “raw” look, I’m specifically admiring the 5 inch silencers at the end that make it look like it’s literally open headers. Plus I’m sure it screams. It’s supposed to be 10dB louder than Akra with the baffles out

if you spent $7k or so having dealer fit the full Akra system and you were disappointed cause it’s not as spirited as your 1299, would it be worth an extra $?,??? For the Spark silencers to turn it into a WSBK? I do remember u telling me that your Homologated Akra is loud enough for u but for me I want it WSBK/ MotoGP loud!

As you might know, I like the Spark exhaust a lot and not many people have it which makes it more special. Price wise, I got quoted by my dealer €5000,- with the tuning map is not a bad deal. Plus I sold my Termignoni exhaust for €2500,- makes this just a €2500 upgrade not a bad choice. They also told me they don‘t have it off the shelf and has to special manufactured on demand which makes it a bit more special as well.

The vandemon has nice welding but the canisters look like cheap 20usd from china, and doesnt give me a wauw factor. Correct me if im wrong but the inconel material from Spark looks nicer than the vandemon titanium. Even if you compare the Vandemon with a Akrapovic the quality in material is visible.

This picture is very interesting... I wonder how, might be full custom...

I love it. Praying theres more to come. Why would they show all their cards at the beginning? They know how to keep things very exciting.

I do have to say the stock system actually impresses me. I thought @BMW Alpina was nuts when he said his fancy homoligated Akra was loud. Now I don’t don’t it cause this thing bone stock actually sounds good. It does give nice little pops but it’s very muted. Not muted like the disappointing stock 2020 S1000RR exhaust but just smooth and respectful like an Audi S5

Now there is some trickery with the cylinder deactivation. It sounds like a Vespa at idle (not really) but as soon as I touch the throttle or release the clutch enough to release the clutch switch, it gets way more deeper like a Ducati is supposed to sound like.

Ducati claims its 80dB, the Akra was measured at 108 and the Spark is supposed to be 118dB. 10dB is an effective doubling of volume so the Spark will be setting off car alarms and shaking ppls house windows and fine chyna
I do quite like whispering around on this at a respectful volume. The only cops that try to pull me over are the ones that want to try n ride it or wanna try to f*ck

I love this this bike, I stopped being a pussy and got it over 10k RPMs today. It’s a missile up there

I feel like Ducati is getting us ready for an electric Panigale at this point. I hope the 2026 anniversary bike isn’t disappointing

Looks like Akrapovic is making this exhaust. They posted this on insta today

It’s gotta me a flame thrower like on the 1299s

Idk what to do abt the exhaust. I always thought u guys leaving ur V4 exhaust stock were crazy, but now that I have one, it does sound quite good.
I also like being able to creep around anonymously in stealth mode. The cops leave me alone with a quiet exhaust

OH NO, I thought I already able to plug the hole in my wallet, now I will need to re-open the hole again...
well,... I want to see what is the solution for the lower fairing... for this exhaust though...

It’s going to be awesome imagine that thing at night in a tunnel. Shooting flames and all that V4 sound bellowing out. Epic

hahaha maybe after u buy this exhaust and have it installed ($??,???) maybe your wallet will finally be empty enough to fold closed!

im just messing but if u got a straight through exhaust like this and fire it up in ur house, u better wear ear plugs and you’ll be able to feel it in ur chest and back. U might blow out the windows with something like this.

btw, @BMW Alpina I got a quote for top tier CeramicPro with PPF in critical areas:

Now you make me imagining I am riding my bike in my living room as the imaginary tunnel :p

I got a better quote, because I am quoting the price to my self:p
I plan to be an amateur version of HKMP7 and do all the detailing and ceramic coating my self :D

Back to Akrapovic, this forum really .... (not safe for work) because now I don't feel like working but just want to find out more about this Akrapovic...
