I got a better quote, because I am quoting the price to my self:p
I plan to be an amateur version of HKMP7 and do all the detailing and ceramic coating my self :D

Do it, its very satisfying! R u using Gtechniq? I think they’re the highest grade for the at home detailers. I wouldn’t bother messing with PPF. It would turn out like the tint on my first car

I still like the look of the Spark silencers better than these. They are making custom silencers

Hi DucatiKev,
looks is of course personal taste but , if I may,... :D
for Spark to claim theirs is the WSBK replica while the top 4 of 2019WSBK champion all use Akrapovic, I think shows which manufacturer has more "WSBK" pedigree
(or maybe I am just more "branded" kind of person :p)
PositionRiderTeam
1.Jonathan Rea (GB)Kawasaki
2.Alvaro Bautista (Spa)Ducati
3.Alex Lowes (GB)Yamaha
4.Michael van der Mark (Ned)Yamaha

Again, Thanks to HKMP7 who pointed out about this product: Kamikaze Zipang Coating Kit
and that lead me to watching this video:
which (the video) advise to triple sandwich layer with this coating in the middle layer: Kamikaze Miyabi Coating Kit

I will not be using any PPF though since maybe someday, the only nick my bike will have if when my grandchildren throw a lego brick at my bike :p

sweet thanks for the detailing video! I’ll check it out soon.

im biased toward Akra for sure especially bc they are on the Ducati team and seem to collaborate on products. Plus the welds and overall fit and finish are top shelf

I love it. I think u just introduced me to my new favorite! Idk how I missed HKMP mention it. I hope u do the base coat plus the zipang coat. It’s gonna be perfect

it’s all in the prep. Prep, prep, prep

it is nice you’re doing the graphics right having them clear coated. And it’s nice that you’re in no rush since it’s not getting blasted with rocks and dirt. My bike is filthy . Next step, derail the radiators perfectly and fit these Cox radiator guards.

after the dealer wiped down the bike before delivering it to me, the paint is ....... I applied hydrosilex, the spray on wipe off fake ceramic coating, so at least it’s super slick for now.
Maybe I’ll get around to correcting the paint myself someday but if I don’t do it soon, it’s going to Ceramic Pro

Yeaaahhh, quite glad I haven't decided on an exhaust yet. Was thinking just the Akra or Termi slipons, but that dual outlet high exhaust may just be the one if there is an official Duc map for it.

Hi DucatiKev!

acoustic is very important to me, looks got to set apart too. However, in these cases, when I chose the Akra, the sound is amazing, and I wish it has the termi look.

i knew termi only offer in Stainless steel, then i knew my decision.

i voted i love the WSBK!! heheheeh

I contacted Akrapovic directly and here is their answer:

So, if this is available to the public, this will be a true Superbike Replica (although only Italian Superbike) well, this means the holes in my wallet don't have to be unplugged :p
Below is the pictures as consolation of this disappointment:

So much dislike!

There is something in the verbiage here. Personally, to me, “replica” is just that. It’s a faithful recreation of the original. Other than that, call it “race inspired”. Unless the pipe is dimensionally the same (tuned length, diameter, pressure control etc) then to me its “race inspired”. If you’re really after performance and system optimization, you really don’t want the pipe Barni is running on your stock V4 motor.

That SC exhaust makes no sense. They notched the gas tank to put a hot pipe millimeters from it?

Yea they are running the “works” tank setup which was obviously on the bike before to pipe swap. That pic is relatively new. Redding was running the Akra last outing. Interesting to see if at some point they go to a similar setup and how they will mod the tank/subframes.

I really like the stealthy pipe setup. View attachment 31438
Ok I should have said “stealth” look in my first post on the Spark silencers. Yes that’s exactly y I like this. It’s kinda y I like the look of the factory exhaust assembly vs those long Akra silencers.
What brand are the silencers in the photo?

I was all excited for a loud raw exhaust but after riding with the hooligans down here I’ve decided it’s staying stock. Stealth mode, ripping around anonymously without unwanted attention is the name of my game now. I guess I finally grew up. Plus this bike puts the power to the ground better than any of these guys bikes including a few H2s

isn't that like a slap in their face that these guys big boy loud obnoxious “tuned” bikes are getting beat by a bike straight from the factory

Damn, look at the char on that swingarm protector. That should get @DucatiKev all worked up.
It’s hot. Reminds me of my nitro RC car racing days. The bod would’ve cove

DucatiKev, you have to go for the Jester's. The flames and gunshots are worth it! This system will make some good power with a custom tune.

But I hear you, right now, without a good tune, the stock bike was way more enjoyable.
