It was belching smoke for a lap prior; saw it, paused and replayed it to be sure, then wondered if he'd last to the end. A lap later he was done.

I think Rea should stay put in WSBK unless he is offered a top GP ride. No point in going from fighting for SBK wins to fighting for GP scraps. As far as all the top GP bikes... they seems to be gridlocked at the moment as far as rider changes go.
Nicky needs to move WSBK. I think he would enjoy it.
