My 1199s and ninja zx6r (track only) has just welcomed home the 2014 bmw hp4 competition. I didnt really get to ride it much as the traffic going home last night was killer and i barely made it to the stealership. I put on a lowly 13 miles. All i can say at this point is the bikes are totally different. The only similarity is that they are on 2 wheels. For those people who have said to me if you are getting another bike why not get a cruiser or something different than a sport bike well THIS IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT and the reason. When the time comes where i cannot ride a sport bike anymore then it will be no more motorcycles. I will never get a harley, cruiser, or a chopper type bike they in no way shape or form appeal to me.

PS I dont call my cars or bikes she or her (see what i did there?)
PPS I will take better pictures i was tired last night.

Congratulations Mark! Owning both an 1199 and an HP4 myself I will say I completely agree with you on the said statement they are two completely different machines other than the fact they both have two wheels. After much debate within my own crazy mind I have come to realize I myself cannot even compare the two and almost consider them two different genre's. I will leave that at that. Have fun stay sharp!

Sweet and congrats Mark. You will have fun no matter which bike you choose to ride when you wake up in the A.M. Awesome and enjoy.

I have both too... It's very easy to justify having both as they are 100% different.

Enjoy them both and congrats! Trust me you will be VERY happy with both.

Very happy!

Beautiful bike enjoy them both for what they are. When the time comes to not ride sports bikes trust me the multistrada will make you smile more than you thought possible and boy are they fast

For the record --- Mark and I share some of the same ideals, but I did NOT influence him to despise the naming or calling one's bike a "she" or a "her" but I am glad to see he feels the same as I do. Oh also- he doesn't like the word "Duc" as in DUCK either!

Anyway, sincere Congratulations to you my good friend! You made an absolutely fantastic choice with that bike and now you are living the best of both worlds with two of the best bikes on the street! All the very best with it my friend. You deserve it !!!

NOTHING on Earth can compare to your's Cali !
Hope you are doing well and enjoying your summer my friend. :)

I wish mate ;-)

I recall VAST showing me his buddies bike collection, 20+ Ducati's including a Green Frame !!!

However, I have zero intention of ever selling any of my bikes.
