Stalling?

Hi, I just received my Speciale and I am having the stalling issue. But only during the first five minutes or so after starting it and riding. For example if I start it, let it warm up for a few minutes and start to ride, if I come to a stop and pull the clutch it will stall. It does it only at the beginning of the ride, once it gets hot it will not happen again. Has anyone had this happened and fixed?

I believe the chugging/stalling issue is due to the fuel line recall, take it to the dealer to have it done.

I was told it had all recalls done prior to delivery, I will call them and double check.

Thanks

I have the full exhaust installed. I think the canister removal was part of the installation.

stalling

I have a 2017 1299 and my bike stalls too. I did remove the evap canister and exhaust valve. It did get better but still that occasional stall.
I was wondering if anyone has an issue with stalling when the bike is hot (like sitting at a red light) and while rev'ing? if mine is hot and I twist my wrist the rpm's will increase and then one the way down will stall? just wondering if anyone else has this issue. Thanks.

I have removed the evap on a few 1299's. Does anybody have a writeup on how to do it on a V4s?

I’m having this issue as well. Have you found a solution? Mine also seems to go lumpy/ chug along for a bit and if the revs are low/at idle or on the way down, it stalls

stall and jerking

so bikes been in the shop for 2 weeks now , tech did the clutch line recall / update . did a mess of tests found to be the fuel pump gremlins new pump otw

Mine was removed before I took delivery as the dealer installed the full Akrapovic exhuast. Mine has stalled a few times in 1000 miles, but never chugged.

I guess I’m trying to figure out whether the charcoal canister is to blame for the stalling/chugging as much on the V4 as it was on the 959/1199/1299 et al.

It's my first Ducati, so I guess I'm not much help with the comparisons.

My experience with the stalling has been with the clutch in, coasting while deaccelerating at idle. I think I've had it happen four times in 1000 miles. No chugging, roughness or anything of note, just stalled. After restarting everything is normal.

I'm due for three recalls that I know of (oil cooler, timing chain tensioner and clutch) and will have them check it at that time. I bought my V4S in June, so maybe there was an ecu update for the Akrapovic tune. I'm going to arrange for the second oil change at the same time, so it might be a month or more. I'll be sure to post if I receive any information as to why the stalling is happening.

In my experience the bikes don't like that, far better to decelerate with the clutch engaged and only then disengage it when you come to a stop.

Is that a "feature" or just the Italian "character" I should learn to love?

jerking

nope canister is still in bike . but my low fuel light was not coming on either

Wait until the engine starts to stumble/stall while just riding, then roar back to life, not even while coming to a stop (has nothing to do with clutch as far as I know).

Lots of fun especially when it throttle chops the .... out of you in a corner.
