Did u cry? What a wild ride

Would you like me to send you an invoice from when you had your paint corrected, protected and coated? The new bike deserves it, the bugs will wipe right off and they should write the check

They are replacing my bike with a new 2019 V4S and the GM has told me that they will be buying and installing all the parts I gave them in my itemized list (with receipts). Their insurance is dragging their feet giving the thumbs up to start work though. I believe it is because the insurance wants to wait and see if my bike turns up before they start tearing into a new bike. Getting lawyers involved is the last option. I doubt it will come to that and Motocorsa knows that I would like to remain a happy customer.

Advanced Motorsports in Dallas has a '19 Corse... make them transfer it to Portland. 2019 Ducati Panigale V4 S Corse – Advanced Motorsports Ducati Dallas

Word is they already have a new ‘19 V4S at the shop for me. Mine truly was an ‘18 V4S with Corse livery. Not an “official” Corse. I can deal with that. I’m speaking to the painter about redoing this new one as well as speaking with Motocorsa about getting the Nicky Hayden tribute farings off of the ‘18 V4 base model that they have been sitting on, unsold, for the past year. This has been quite the crazy ride so far. I hope they do what they say they were going to.

Who's insurance tho yours or theirs?

He had a used bike stolen. No dealer in their right mind, insurance claim or not will replace with the latest version of the stolen bike. What planet are you guys living on making such ridiculous n unrealistic suggestions? He's already gonna get a brand new bike. That's already good enough.

Sorry to hear, such a beautiful bike. Hope you get this squared away and are made whole. Everything happens for a reason, chalk it up as that and get a new one!!!

Yeah i was going to say get a 2020. In just dying to see a bike with colour matched wings. For example if your punter can redo the course paint work and instead of leaving wings black, paint them as well

I've seen someone do something very similar and didn't like the look. Maybe accent it, but full paint looked weird.

I have nothing much to add except that I truly feel your pain and am very sorry for your loss. My well-set-up 2019 V4 track bike was stolen overnight June 1 from my garage. This was EXTREMELY gut-wrenching for me, considering the months I spent modifying and tuning it for my pace, not to mention the financial loss even with insurance. I have a story to tell and will probably post a thread soon, but I'm still in a whirlwind and trying to orient. Anyway, there ought to be a law, nigh, a code among thieves against stealing a motorcycle. These are not just static property. A lot of love goes into them and the violation was deep.

Their insurance is paying out. Not mine. I asked for a new 2018 because I am not trying to upgrade for free, just to be made whole. The 2019 was easy for them to find and is, for all intents and purposes, the same bike. They said that they are going to replace all the custom parts and install them for me. As far as the Corse livery, I am going to have my painter fix that for me and I will be back to where I started...minus a summer of riding of course...but 2020 is a wash anyway for all of us.
@Fry I am soooo sorry to hear about your track bike. I absolutely know how you feel!

After seeing how many bikes, specifically Ducati’s have gone missing lately I think I’ll try fit a gps tracker or something on mine in case the worst happens.

Yeah look at which cities the bikes have gone missing.. and to think ppl want to disband our police force. I’m surprised this bike hasn’t been located by now. Almost as if it’s not a priority

that was the long way to say I don’t think they’re coming to steal ur beautiful Duc from the farm. But yes I agree, I looked into tracking when i first got the 1299 but never moved on it. I’d want real-time location updates and a button like “lock my iPhone” except have it detonate an airbag under the seat to send the criminal flying

I had the van job done to me at my place in Santa Monica. 2014 cbr600rr wedged between my Alfa and another car. LAPD found it months later. Bars were locked, bike was tucked away. A lot of times these guys have spotters and are told were good bikes are.

LAPD said the people that were lifting bikes already snagged 100+ across LA county.

I replaced the CBR with the triumph and locked it up in a storage room off the alley in my complex.

Today’s it sits in my garage unless I take it for a spin.
